Being a faculty at IHRM, what are your roles and responsibilities towards the students?

My main duties as a faculty member of the Hospital Management Department are to familiarize students with their course structure and to teach them the latest developments in the healthcare business.

How do you establish healthy relations with the students?

I communicate with them regularly about this. To maintain a positive working connection with my students, I regularly engage with them and make an effort to answer and resolve both their academic and non-academic questions promptly. Besides this, I advise them to work hard, pick up new abilities, and never lose sight of the significance of their accomplishments.

How do you bring in a practical and industry-oriented approach towards subjects?

While I am educating my pupils, I make sure that the themes are approached with an industry-driven and practical approach by connecting the key healthcare papers with some real-life applications. Aside from this, my goal is still to define the roles that the various departments and divisions within a hospital play to provide my pupils with a comprehensive picture of the real world.

How do you strategize and update the curriculum to make it befitting for the students?

It is regularly updated by changing industry needs and trends hence students remain updated. How does your college prepare students for higher education?

By offering customized training programs and guidance sessions to them. I sincerely feel that working in the healthcare industry is a noble profession rather than just a regular job and that the demand for non-clinical professionals and an efficient hospital is growing due to changing technology and consumer lifestyles. To help students apply this information while studying to their Master’s and other higher education courses, we provide them with specialized training programs. Students who wish to work full-time after college can benefit from our training programs as well, since we teach them effective interview techniques and how to function in the corporate world.

How do you prepare your students to deal with the outside competitive world?

Every lesson I teach my pupils, I make an effort to connect the concept to current events so they can learn about the real-world applications of each subject and get ready for this competitive world. Because our line of work demands genuine devotion, a goal-oriented mindset, and the best interpersonal skills to interact with hospital patients. Thus, my goal is still to inform them on the most effective tactics to employ in real-world situations.

Which extracurricular activities are organized by your college to enhance the skills of students?

We sincerely believe that in order for students to stand out in this competitive environment, having some special abilities is just as crucial as having solid theoretical knowledge. Thus, we regularly host health care camps and ensure that students get the greatest internships at reputable businesses.

What challenges are you facing in uplifting the education quality of your college?

As industries nowadays look for competent professionals with expertise in communication skills and sound knowledge of their core subjects. But we have a diverse range of students in our college, some of whom lack good communication skills and also have less knowledge of their core subjects, so this sometimes creates a barrier between us and affects the quality of education which we want to offer them.
