Being a Faculty of the BCA Department, what are your roles and responsibilities towards the students?

Assisting and organizing classes and activities that support students' acquisition of fundamental and advanced computer skills is one of my main duties. My teaching style fosters pupils' self-assurance in their skills. I have observed and managed classroom dynamics while invigilating and grading projects, quizzes, and examinations too. The most responsible role I have handled is to track and communicate students' advancement throughout the course.


How do you tend to establish healthy relations with the students and fellow faculty?

I make an effort to be fair and honest with students and other faculty members in order to build positive relationships with them. It is important to act morally and with compassion in order to foster healthy interpersonal connections. My goal is to help pupils develop self-control, self-discipline, and social responsibility. I have made an effort to set an example of understanding, compassion, and tolerance for the diversity of kids' learning styles, gender identities, and religions. When I get the chance, I manage student conduct, step in, and handle disciplinary issues while exhibiting the required abilities.


How do you try to bring in a practical approach towards subjects and make it industry-oriented?

They are given real-world project-like practical projects to help them comprehend the relevance of the disciplines in industry. Students are being forced to approach their tasks with a more practical mindset.


What are the best practices offered by the department to the students that help them gain the necessary skills?

To specify and convey to pupils the expectations for their learning, using suitable multiple assessment methods and instruments to assess and encourage pupils' ongoing intellectual growth, to give students appropriate homework assignments and in accordance with university regulations, to record and promptly publish the findings of quizzes, assignments, midterm and final exams; to fairly and impartially assess students' performance, and to enhance student learning by using data from student assessments to inform modifications to practice and instruction.

How do you strategize the curriculum and how often it getupdated to make it befitting for the students?

The university's guidelines are followed when updating the program. Furthermore, skill-based special classes are being held on a regular basis in line with current market trends. 


How does your department prepare students for further education? What are your thoughts on the placements and higher education of the students from your department? 

We encourage them to take advantage of pertinent possibilities for professional development and be informed about the most recent developments in the field's knowledge and research. We additionally urge them to go to a career fair.


How do you help your student to cope up with the competition being so high in the outside world?

Every pupil is given a 360-degree evaluation. They are directed to follow the appropriate path where they have greater scope and opportunity based on their areas of interest. 


Do you offer any extracurricular programs or activities to help students develop their talents or get a taste of real-world challenges? 

We are holding an industry expertise seminar. Plan practical instruction on current market trends. 


What obstacles did you confront, or do you still face, in trying to improve the department's educational standards? 

We put plans and strategies in place to improve the quality of education; this is an ongoing process. Students must understand the purpose of all they undertake. Since they are informed of the goals and consequences of the procedure, they will be focused on it automatically.

When you came to college, what was your vision and how are you trying to achieve the same?

Students should arrive on time and be accessible at the university during designated business hours to abide by the university's policies, norms, guidelines, directives, and processes, to set up and keep up with course files, to adopt safety measures to safeguard university documents, tools, supplies, and infrastructure, to judiciously take part in programs for university improvement, and to attend and take part in faculty meetings as well as other events and meetings that are assigned by university rules. 


How does the curriculum of your Department/ College ensure the best practice of industry?

Teachers can gear up to help students to understand knowledge and concepts outside the textbook. The more the teachers interact with the students with viable, real-life examples, incidents, etc., the students will have a better understanding and more awareness of the subject. With real-life examples, they can apply their lessons to many subjects. The teacher has to be a consistent guide here to help the student graduate from one lesson to another.


What are the interventions and approaches you bring in apart from curriculum to train/ teach the students?

We have arranged seminars and workshops for students by industry experts. This helps to motivate students to participate in different outreach programs, certification courses etc. IHRM students are sent to an internship program to gain experience before joining the company.


What do you see as the department’s/ college’s greatest strengths and how it can be enhanced?

Some of the greatest strengths of the MCA department at IHRM include faculty with profound experience and subject expertise, a friendly environment, state-of-the-art infrastructure, and sports and games facilities.
