KGMU Lucknow Paramedical Eligibility Criteria 2026

  • Must have passed Class 12 (10+2) with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) from a recognised board.
  • Must qualify in the UP CPET 2026 entrance examination for admission to a bachelor’s course.
  • No entrance exam is required for UPSMFAC. Selection is purely based on Class 10 and 12 PCB marks.

Students can get admission to paramedical courses only through UP CPET (for bachelor’s programmes) and UPSMFAC counselling (for diploma programmes); direct admission is not available. The counselling is conducted in multiple rounds for both courses.

KGMU Lucknow Paramedical Bachelor Courses Admission Process 2026

ABVMU conducts counselling Round 1, where the maximum number of seats is filled. If seats remain vacant after Round 1, a Mop-Up Round is conducted, where candidates who did not secure a seat in Round 1 can participate. Finally, if seats still remain after the Mop-Up Round, a Stray Vacancy Round is held, which is usually conducted physically and is open only to previously registered candidates.

UPSMFAC Round 1 is the main merit-based round with the highest number of seat allotments and the best chance for admission. Round 2 fills seats left vacant due to candidates not reporting to their allotted institute, opting for upgradation to a better seat, or withdrawing their admission.
