Ashland University, founded in 1878 in Ashland, Ohio, is a private school. From the start, it had strong support from the German Baptist Brethren Church and the local community. The 135 acre campus is very pretty, It is situated between two large cities, Cleveland and Columbus. In 1989 Ashland College transformed into Ashland University.
