Scholarships and Financial Aid for International Students

The international students are allowed for a merit-based scholarship to afford their study in the USA. The scholarship amount can be up to USD 15,000 (USD 1,875 per semester for up to eight semesters or upon completion of your degree).

The students will be automatically considered for a merit-based position and will be granted the awards based on their academic credentials. The additional renewal criteria include:

  • At least cumulative grade point average of a 2.5 and continued good academic standing as a member of the campus community
  • Must be a full-time UG student with enrollment in 12 or more day school undergraduate credits, each semester
  • Residency classification as out-of-state for tuition purposes

Alumni Network

The university offers a combination of programming, engagement, and leadership opportunities to the ex-students to stay connected with the university and with their class fellows as well.

  • The graduates will automatically become a member of the Worcester State Alumni Association and will be informed about all things Worcester State.
  • The university had an alumni base of more than 35,000 graduates working in different parts of the world. Various programs like business-focused after-hours gatherings, reunions, homecoming festivities, and the Scholarship Tea are organized for the alumni.

Placements

The university arranges various internship programs and on-job training allowing the students to get real-world experience. As a successful applicant for a graduate program placement, the qualified students will be placed in a graduate academic department so that they can assist in areas like research, teaching, program recruiting, and clinical work.

These placements offer tuition-and-fee waivers for up to 3 graduate courses per semester in a student’s academic program. The students also get a stipend worth USD 2,400 per semester with the expectation of 15 hours a week of work.
