- The laid-back and calm atmosphere in Davis.
- Since Davis is a college town, the community is very student-friendly, with helpful and kind people outside the university as well. Very much a city run by students.
- Main mode of transport are bicycles and e-scooters and the only allowed on campus other than college buses.
Dislikes
- Not as many fun group activities as the main cities.
- Since it is such a large campus, the distance between your residence and class can feel too long, especially when cycling in the summer heat.
- Not many grocery shopping centers like Target and Walmart.
- In the first year i was in the college dorms as we were assigned. now in the second year i will be living off campus in Sol at West Village. i found out about this from seniors at my college. Many international students choose to live here. Monthly Rent varies from 700 to 2000 depending on what type of room you opt for. All utilities are included for an additional fee of 55 USD.
- There were no such challenges while signing a lease for my second year. It was a pretty smooth process and all my doubts were cleared by them at the house tour and on the phone. I'd say there are a couple more like The Green, The Orchid and Identity, which are pretty good as well.
- So it is a 5-10 min bike ride from campus and this is where most indian students stay.

- Location (Proximity to Bay Area, and California's Weather I didn't wanted to go into snowy places), the research oriented approach of University (everywhere you will see some research going on), the College Town (I wanted to be in a safe and quite place unlike mainstream cities like LA and SF) and lastly the Brand Name of UC Davis including its ranking which are very highly rated across the globe
- The Diversity, the top minds, the focus on extracurricular events such as sports and cultural events, proximity to Bay Area, and the college town feel

- Its not the best school for CS related course, but its still very good, and the fees and living expenses here are very high (but can't expect anything less from California)
The experience I have had here till now is beem great, I have met so many different people from all across the globe known about their culture and learned latest academic things as well from them, and there are always some kind of events happening here and there you can easily find your own community here, there's always someone to support you here for anything you need
I love UC Davis, it is a good mix of competitive academics and lifestyle outside of classes. Some classes are definitely very challenging, but there are many extracurricular activities that help to destress from these challenging courses. UC Davis is also very diverse, so many people are able to find like-minded friends to surround themselves with.

- Close to Bay Area, Nice campus Housing was near campus.
Pretty well. Student body was nice. Working opportunities were plenty. Made lots of memories. Could be better but COVID put everyone in a tight money soot.
Close to home, a good program for my major, well known, liberal. It is also a beautiful campus that is easy in terms of transportation if you have a bike. The whole campus is built to make biking easy.
It was close to home and affordable because I got a merit scholarship. Also, it is a great school so I would have great opportunities for my career in the future. I also believe the accounting program is one of the best.
The distance from home and the quality of education were enticing, so I opted to go here over my other options, which would either have been further or less quality. I think the economics program is one of the top 20 in the country, so it made my decision easier.
The prestige of the school and location. I liked that it was relatively close to home for me, and my high school pushed for students to go to the most prestigious school they could get into. For me, that was UC Davis.
I chose UC Davis because it is 1.5 hours away from home, has good bachelors programs and I was awarded a full ride scholarship to attend UC Davis. I like how the campus is very scenic, has a welcoming vibe and all are very friendly.
