  • Fall 2024 CS student cohort is around 300. Course syllabus and structure is very relevant to current industry standards.
  • 3 courses in 1 sem and 2 classes/week for each course.

Admission Experience

  • NCSU offers top class education and research experience. Research triangle park offers plenty of opportunities to students.
  • Also Raleigh is a pretty safe city. Alumni network is really strong.
  • Required docs for MSCS : GRE, IELTS/TOEFL, SOP, LOR, CV. But it depends on your program.

Faculty

8

  • I have no idea about faculty to student ratio. Each course has many TA's so you can approach them if prof is unavailable.
  • Prof Stefen Heber and Prof Jiaquig Liu are the best in algorithms and Networks respectively.

Campus Life

8

  • Campus is beautiful with lots of clubs and extracurricular activities. World-class gym and library.
  • Outdoor activities like kayaking , trekking etc are conducted by clubs.

Part Time Jobs

  • NCSU has it's own portal to apply for on-campus partime role. During semester, a student can work for max 20 hours/week.
  • Dining: 10 - 15/hour, RA/TA: 20- 25/hour.
  • Its pretty easy to find a dining job. RA/TA roles go to Phd students, but master students do get few.

8

  • The coursework prepares you well for the industry. Salary depends on role and location.
  • At this current market 50% of the students are finding internships and full-time positions
