Required Exams for Admission

TOEFL (108)
GRE (319)

Course Curriculum

8

  • The syllabus isn’t very dynamic (at least the ones I took) but the projects are quite interesting and upto date to the industry

  • Number of students Again depends on the subjects. Some courses are very popular among students so expect 200-300 people in them. Otherwise it can ranged anywhere between 20-60.

Admission Experience

  • Sturdy program with good reputation, location and renowned faculty made me choose this one.
  • TOEFL/IELTS, SOP, LOR, CV these are must .
  • Try to tailor everything as closely as you can with the program you aim to get admitted into.

Class Schedule

8

  • Based on your courses 3-4 one can typically have 2 classes per week for 1 subject. So total 6-8 classes per week each spanning roughly 1.5 hours .

Faculty

8

  • Eric Rottenberg, Paul Franzon , Jayant Baliga would be the top three in my list for their expansive depth of knowledge and research.

Campus Life

8

  • Pretty amazing campus life

  • 3 libraries with all imaginable gear/devices/ books ,Multiple research facilities

  • Annual events mostly in Fall semester.

  • State of art gym facility ,1 Lake trail ,Golf course ,Ice cream shop everything basic available.

  • There’s honestly a lot to explore but at the same time it makes the campus huge to do so.

Part Time Jobs

  • On campus jobs are abundant ranging from $10/hour - $25/hour
  • Go via the university job portal. 20 hours during semester otherwise 40 hours in summer.
  • Getting a job at ncstate is pretty easy since there are abundant jobs and relatively less competition, you might even get to choose which job you like more .Not a lot secures it  but maybe 10-20%

Placement

8

  • I’m looking for one but past records show a good turn out of people getting jobs.
