Colleges that I applied to and got admitted to: University of Michigan Dearborn - Admitted (joined) Lawrence Technological University - Admitted DePaul University - Admitted Drexel University - Admitted Illinois Institute of Technology - Admitted Northeastern University - Admitted I got offers from all the universities I applied only thing I believe is because of my good academic background and a good score in IELTS, and, of course, a really good SOP got me into all of the universities I applied to without facing any rejections Why I chose UofM Dearborn is mainly because of the affordability for the high-quality education we receive, and of course, being part of the University of Michigan holds a great value worldwide Also, the living expenses are affordable compared to other universities I got into, and the final thing that made me choose this university is the scholarship I received here Now moving on to the admission process in short it was quite detailed and strict ?i Submitted my application online through their portal after few weeks they asked me to send physical copies of my transcripts by courier for verification which made the process even longer and after 40 days of my application submission i received my admission decision i was almost about to accept another universities offer before this came through The eligibility criteria for my course are really simple. GRE is not required, IELTS is min 6.5 Overall, the admission process was smooth but really slow, mainly because of the verification part I applied for the Winter 2025 intake at the UofM Dearborn I chose winter because it gave me more preparation time to gather all the documents and take my IELTS. To be honest, Many of my friends had already applied for the fall 2024 intake, but I wanted time to prepare for IELTS and other documentation required for my visa I submitted my application around July 2024 and got my admission in the first week of September 2024. I have a UG background in Mech Engg. and I chose to go ahead with a Masters in Engineering Management course since I did not want to get into a very technical field hence I chose the University of Michigan since it has a good blend of mechanical and business courses without a very technical or Computer science courses. The fees is affordable and they also give a scholarship. The housing and accommodations are also affordable compared to other cities in the US. Texas also is a good option but the summer gets really bad there. University of Michigan Dearborn is a sub-university to the main campus in Ann Arbor which is a highly reputed and expensive university but Dearborn is also a good one in terms of education. There might not be a lot to do outside of academic terms but it's a good place to be. Career-wise - the students have to build their skills and apply for jobs on their own....Read More

I chose this university because the faculty focuses on advanced research, which aligns with my interests. The curriculum is advanced and updated, covering the latest trends in technology and innovation. The admission process involved filling out an application form with all my academic and personal details. After submitting the form, For my program, I needed to give the TOEFL exam.The minimum score requirement for the CECS department is 80. My admission experience was extremely good and smooth. However, I found it challenging to explore research opportunities, which I hope to overcome soon. I applied for the Fall 2024 intake. This intake was perfect for me because it matched my graduation schedule. Most of the students take Fall intake instead of Winter or Summer. The admission process took around two months. Very Standard procedure - Application (2 LORs, SOP, Resume), Decision, i20, VISA, course registration. 4. Language proficiency required. (TOEFL above 80, IELTS), GRE and GMAT is not a mandatory requirement. 5. CGPA should be at least above 7.0 on a scale of 10. 6. Very smooth admission process, usually takes time to get the decision, got mine on April 6, that's pretty late. No such challenges faced I did my application in January 2023.
