What Students Say
Likes
- Affordable and best Automotive program in the US. Good location for internships and auto industries
- Job opportunities nearby and the course curriculum. I had the privilege to choose whichever course I wanted, tried out all domains, pretty easy exams, good faculty.
Dislikes
- it is a very small campus and it is not very happening. wish there were better campus engagement activities. I didn't like the fact that the faculty did not care if the students attended the class or not.
Overall a pleasant experience. Lot of indian students, very helpful seniors, good faculty, good place for opportunities.
Course Curriculum
The course curriculum is really good. they have a wide variety of courses in auto engg. and allow students to work full time while studying full time.
Faculty
Faculty are also good. Pretty experienced. They are all very approachable. Dr. Youngki Kim was a very good professor that helped me get an RA.
Campus Life
Campus life is not so great. There are a lot of clubs and events going on though, but not a lot of people participate. It is a satellite campus, very small and does not so many facilities. It has a good library and a good gym, nothing fancy.
Placement
very good opportunities for mechanical/industrial/automotive. not so great for IT in Michigan. Most of the students get placed while studying itself.
Accommodation
There is student housing, but students usually prefer off-campus housing. There are good and safe communities just near the campus- Fairlane Woods, Fairlane Meadows and Fairlane Town Centre apts.
Exams
i did not write GRE. Minimum requirement for IELTS was 6.5 and I scored 8/9. this is one among the very few good universities that doesnt require GRE.. Have to submit both SoP and 2 LoRs. No interviews. They also asked for my CV
Fees
$45k total. $11k avg per semester
Scholarship
Yes, International Grad scholarship- $10k a year
