Required Exams for Admission

TOEFL (104)
GRE (150)

I chose this university because of following factors: - My preferred course (MS in MIS) was offered here and was a 1-year course instead of 2 years - Fees were more affordable as compared to other universities - This is a public university and the university is reputed. I am proud to be associated with the University at Buffalo, SUNY. This university is an all-rounded package for anybody who wishes to pursue a Master's in the USA. Great course content, good professors, amazing and lively campus, in the heart of Buffalo city. The off-campus housing is decent in Buffalo, and grocery stores and restaurants are close by. This university helped me kickstart my career in the USA.

Course Curriculum

10

The course content is updated and very helpful. There were case study research and practicals involved that provided more exposure. The course also included monthly tests, final tests, and case reports for each subject.

Faculty

9

The faculty are all very knowledgeable, friendly, and approachable. Some of my professors, such as Mr. Sanders, Ms. Sanjukta, and Mr. Ram, were very impactful and helpful.

Campus Life

10

Great and lively campus. Many places to study peacefully, and a huge library. The campus did have many extracurricular activities and events too. WiFi is always available on campus for students.

Placement

9

The university does have on-campus placement and many companies (medium and large MNCs) visited. However, it can attract more and better companies. Most of the batchmates were placed in multiple streams, except 1 or 2.

Accommodation

Off Campus
10

Since the on-campus housing was a little expensive for me, I went for off-campus housing. I booked my accommodation before reaching Buffalo. The cost is about $800 per month, and I was sharing a 2-BhK house with one other student. Most of the off-campus housing is shared.

Exams

- My scores: GRE 150 Verbal 163 Quant 4.0 Writing; TOEFL 104/120 (Listening-23, Speaking-27, Reading-26, Writing-28) - University Institute of Technology (RGTU) B.E. in Electronics and Communication 69.4%; SUNY Buffalo MS in MIS 3.6 GPA - CBSE - 85.2% (10th); CBSE - 78.8% (12th) - Requirements: Documents that I submitted were SoP, 3 LoRs and CV. The content in the documents should be crisp, latest, accurate and informative. - Interview Round: I did not have any round of interviews or tests, but I did have to fill out the university-specific questionnaire during the admission process, that was a deciding factor.

Fees

The total tuition fees is about $24,000 for 1 year.
