Required Exams for Admission

IELTS (8)
GRE (320)

I opted this university because, - Best education and professors for its fees - World class amenities and research recognition - Always helping International Student Services - Easy admission process (at least compared to other universities)

Course Curriculum

10

The course curriculum at UB is less compared to other universities but heavy at the same time because almost all graduate programs are 30 credit (10 subjects) courses but you have to take 12 credits (4 subjects) per semester which is really hard to manage as every course challenges you in every possible aspect and taking 4 at a time is challenging and exciting. Taking courses in such a way will help you learn on managing pressure and handle things at same time.

Campus Life

UB has a very beautiful campus life. It's like if Buffalo is one city then UB is another city. UB's got everything, like clubs, fests, societies, events, co-curricular activity, sports etc. UB's Bulls team is one of the best football teams out there. People here are from different backgrounds so you get to know a lot of friends who often party together. Off campus parties are the best in UB.

Placement

8

People here usually get packages of around $140k from Amazon and other companies would give around $100k if the market is good. There are not many technical hiring companies in Buffalo, so people often move out of Buffalo post their studies.

Accommodation

Off Campus
8

I stayed off campus like any other graduate student. The rents in Buffalo are very affordable but the houses near and around UB are very old. Paying rent for such old houses might be intriguing but that's how the scenario is. On campus housing is really costly compared to off campus. Most of the students in UB live near UB south campus.

Fees

The program at UB is very much affordable as it would cost only around $30k for entire masters where other universities of UB stature cost you around $45k - $55k for the entire course. The per credit cost at UB is affordable which will not cost you a lot. Also, if you take a course beyond 4 per semester like 5 courses per semester, then the 5th course is free. You don't have to pay any. It's like you pay a 4 courses fee and study 5 courses.
