I chose this institute because of great research potential, good professor reviews, were accepting a switch from ece to cs. I had a fantastic experience overall. The professors were excellent, and I learned a great deal from them. I had the chance to work on my research, which was a valuable opportunity, and I also made important connections at various networking events. All in all, it was a very productive and enriching time.

- My GRE score was 318 and my TOEFL score was 118. Although GRE wasn't a requirement that year, it helped me obtain a scholarship. - Yes, I submitted all 3 SOPs (be as truthful as possible, I mentioned why I was drawn to CS even with a BTech in ECE. I mentioned a workshop I attended where I wrote code in Python and how that made me interested in the field and then I pursued it by doing multiple projects), in my LORs, I asked my professors to mention my grades and leadership skills that I exhibited during the classes. I lead demonstrations, tech fests etc. In my resume- I mentioned my Software Developer internship and my full time Developer experience specifically my tech stacks. - I did not have any interviews to get admission, but I had an interview for my scholarship. They asked about my experience and skills and how I would be able to contribute to the community at IIT, I prepared bullet points for both before hand. How can you make IIT more accessible to foreign students was the highlight question.No interview; you need to submit a common app and a common app essay. Mainly based on the balance of extracurriculars and common app essays. There are many programmes of admission that students can opt for, such as Global Scholars and NUin.

A lot of career fairs, but being international students sponsorship poses an issue. Networking events happen and are very useful.

Yes, Graduate Student Scholarship-10,000, after I received my acceptance letter I sent an email to graduate admissions requesting scholarship. I mentioned how I would be a great fit for the program with my skills and experience and I was invited to interview for the same.

Most professors are extremely knowledgeable and approachable. They have dedicated office hours for each class and we could schedule time with our advisor as and when required. The advisor helped in selecting courses, approaching professors for projects etc.

Really good campus, a lot of student clubs, a lot of activities on campus. Library is excellent, and the staff is supportive.

Private room, off campus accomodation. Almost all students live either at Prairie Shores, Lake Meadows or Eden Commons. Eden Commons is a bit cheaper and costs about 600 USD per month.
