What Students Say?

- U-M is not only known for its strong academics, but I also love the campus life it has. It was also very appealing to me as well since it’s only 45 minutes away from home
I have really enjoyed my time at the University of Michigan. Not only have I enjoyed the degree program that I am currently doing, but I have had the pleasure of meeting some great faculty and students who I’m sure will help me in my future as a potential medical student.
Course Curriculum
The curriculum itself is of course very difficult as it is a very prestigious public campus, but I enjoy this challenge.
Exams
My high school scores: GPA: 3.92, SAT: 1500/1600. AP Scores: Calculus BC: 4, Biology: 4, Chemistry: 3, Physics: 4. In my application to the University of Michigan, we had to mention what extracurriculars we did outside of class, if we performed any philanthropy, and I also submitted a short CV of myself as well. In my undergraduate application to U of M, there were no rounds of interviews. It was a rolling admission basis where you either get in at Early Decision or get in at Regular Decision.
Placement
As I am only an undergraduate I do not know too much about the post-study programs here, I do plan on applying to medical school here however, and from what I do know, U of M has a very good medical school.
Internship
As I had mentioned before, I am in the pre-health process so I have not yet engaged with any internships. I am currently looking to finish my degree, take the MCAT, and apply to medical schools across the country.
Fees
I’m not sure what the tuition fees are as I am fully covered for my tuition for every semester.
Scholarship
Yes I received the HAIL Scholarship for the University of Michigan. It covers all of my tuition for each semester, and I simply applied for it while I was in high school and I would end up being eligible for it if I was accepted.
Faculty
The faculty themselves are great, they encourage students to meet them during office hours and the ratio is about 1 faculty:20 students.
Campus Life
They offer a bunch of different clubs differing from professional organizations that may help with your future career or if you are looking to meet people who share similar backgrounds or interest as you.
Hostel
The in-campus housing itself is pretty expensive. It’s about $7500 per semester but this includes your room and board as well as food.
