I applied for the following universities: DePaul University: Admitted Kingston University: Admitted Arizona State University: Admitted I was fortunate to receive admissions from institutions like DePaul University, Kingston University, and Arizona State University—where I ultimately confirmed my admission—there were a few universities that did not accept my application because of the Spring intake! Most of the universities accepted Fall intake! Hence the rejection! It was like an American dream! Since childhood I always wanted to study abroad once in my lifetime! I wanted to get into ASU as it closely aligned with my academic interests and career goals. Admission process was smooth! It was a bit tricky to understand the student portal and to navigate through since I was back in India! After asking seniors and taking help, I was able to figure out the portal and then paid the fees with the help of my bank manager! It was very straightforward. The eligibility criteria: I gave IELTS with a band score of 7, and due to covid, the GRE was waived off! Spring Intake 2023: I was working full time and needed an experience of 1.5 or 2 years before coming to study abroad! Since experience helps a bit! The admission process took around two months, including receiving the admit letter and completing all the required formalities. First, I received the offer letter, and then I began exploring different banks for an education loan—comparing interest rates and doing thorough research. ASU - Admitted, UT Dallas - Admitted, UCSD - Rejected, NYU - Rejected, Texas A&M - Rejected Pandemic deferrals created a huge applicant backlog, making competition fierce. Additionally, a non-CS background put me at a disadvantage, as many programs favor applicants with direct experience. These two factors likely combined to make admissions extra tough for my intake year. I picked ASU because they had a great program for my major and the campus felt right. I had a few friends who got into some great opportunities after graduation. The weather is also similar to the part of the world I belong to. The whole application was pretty easy. just an online form, transcripts, a CV and my grades. I didn't even have to send in my GRE scores since they were optional. The wait was a bit stressful, but I got my acceptance pretty fast, so that was a huge relief. I applied for the Fall 2022 intake at ASU for MS in CS. I chose it to align with visa timelines and start early. I submitted my application in early March 2022 and received my admit decision in about 2 weeks. University of Arizona Data Science program is one of the highly rated Data Science programs in the US. There is a two step admission screening. I got to meet the actual people who selected my admission. I applied for the following universities: University of Texas Dallas—Accepted Arizona State University—Accepted University of California Riverside—Accepted SUNY Buffalo—Accepted Texas A&M - Rejected Northeastern University—Rejected I got acceptance from the University of Texas at Dallas, Arizona State University, the University of California Riverside and SUNY Buffalo. I got rejected from Texas A&M and Northeastern University. I believe my GRE score (310) was not quite good enough to be admitted to those colleges. I chose ASU because in rankings, job opportunities, and overall fee structure, it was slightly better than other colleges I got admission from. Admission process: I applied to ASU with my resume, statement of purpose, and undergraduate transcript. I also sent them my GRE scores. After 2 months, I got my acceptance letter. The eligibility criteria for GPA was a minimum 3.0 GPA on the scale of 4. GRE and IELTS/TOEFL are accepted and there isn't any minimum scores for these tests. My overall admission experience was great; the application was not lengthy and it took minutes to fill. One challenge was the application deadline was very early and they required undergraduate transcripts. So, I had to get transcripts from my college very early. I applied for the Fall 2023 intake. I completed my undergraduate in April 2023 and I wanted to start my master's right away. Also, fall intake is generally better because you will be able to do internships during summer using CPT. If you go for spring intake, you can only do an internship during winter break, which is really hard to get compared to summer. The admission process took 3 months in total. I applied to various colleges before I finally got into Arizona State University: University of Sunny Albany - Admitted University of North Texas - no seats were left for my subjects University of Houston - Admitted Arizona State University - Admitted I joined this college as it had a professor who had done his research work same as my undergrad project which is what made me come here . I applied at the end of Feb and got my admit on April 3rd. After coming here the heat was a major issue but it’s really surprising how you get easily habituated to it. And coming here I become a major football fan and I am very happy about it. Several documents were also required to complete the admission process. Official transcripts, Letters of Recommendation (LORs), a Statement of Purpose (SOP), and a Curriculum Vitae (CV) were needed among other things . The transcripts highlight academic achievements while SOP allows applicants to express their motivations and goals. On the other hand, LORs give an insight into an applicant's abilities and character while a CV showcases relevant work and academic experience. There was no interview as part of my application process . ASU did not require a formal interview and thus relied on the submitted documents for making admissions decisions regarding students who apply to it one can say this has made it easier by focusing only on academic merit without having an additional step involving personal interviews....Read More

I have applied for 3 colleges and got admits from 2. Arizona state university: Admitted Northeastern University: shortlisted Stony brook university: Rejected Arizona State University and Northeastern University gave me admission confirmation. Stony brook rejected me because of my GRE score and may be due to the insufficient recommendations from professors. First, the College brand value made me choose Arizona state university. I have applied through kaplan to get admission. For GRE the minimum score is 305 and for IELTs the minimum score is 7( In person). It was a smooth process, I received I20 via mail then they were invited to orientation to get the glimpse of the campus and I reached out to some professors for the course structure. I had applied to ASU in the fall semester having in mind things like better course offerings, internship opportunities, and sponsorship. Admissions took around 6–8 months: I had applied in December, received a response in March-April, received my I-20 in May, completed my visa process in June, and arrived in the U.S. in August to settle in, undergo orientation, and prepare for my courses....Read More
