No application fee is charged at any stage. The only mandatory payment is the USD 2,200 (around INR 2.11 Lakhs) enrolment deposit due by May 1, 2027 after admission, which is credited against the student’s four-year account rather than consumed by tuition.

Berea College Eligibility for Indian Students

Indian applicants must have completed secondary school (Class XII from CBSE, ICSE, or an Indian state board), and Berea evaluates each applicant holistically alongside test scores, essay, and the financial questionnaire. Berea College Application Process

The Berea international application is Berea-specific — Indian students should not use the Common App for international entry. The process runs through admissions.berea.edu from August 1 to November 30, and all supporting documents must reach Berea by the same deadline.

1. Create an account at admissions.berea.edu and select the "International Application for Admission".
2. Complete the biographical, academic, and family background sections; there is no application fee to pay on the portal.
3. Upload your Class XII record (English-translated, school-certified) and, if applicable, higher secondary transcripts.
4. Submit the 2 to 5 page personal essay covering your background, post-graduation plans, and community intentions.
5. Request one teacher recommendation directly through the portal; written recommendations in English are also accepted.
6. Have a school administrator, employer, or religious leader (never a relative) complete the Financial Resource Recommendation Form.
7. Complete Berea’s International Financial Questionnaire — CSS Profile and ISFSAA are not accepted substitutes.
8. Report TOEFL, IELTS, Duolingo, SAT, or ACT scores directly from the testing agency, less than two years old.
