The undergraduate BSB routes through Indiana University Bloomington’s central admissions and applies its Class XII and English floors.

• Full-Time MBA: Bachelor’s in any discipline; typical admits carry 5 years of full-time work experience, with a minimum recommendation of 3 years post-graduation.
• MS in Accounting with Data Analytics: Bachelor’s in any discipline, though quantitative coursework helps.
• MS in Finance: Any undergraduate major; prior business or quantitative exposure preferred but not required.

Kelley School of Business English Language Requirements

Every graduate programme uses the same institution-wide English floor per the Kelley international applicants page. Scores must be under two years old at the time of application.

Kelley offers the Bachelor of Science in Business (BSB) at Bloomington with 15+ majors, from Finance and Accounting to Business Analytics and Entrepreneurship. Indian first-year applicants first apply to Indiana University Bloomington through the Common App or the IU application, then pursue admission into Kelley’s programme, either as a Direct Admit at entry or as a Business Pathways student after the first year on campus.

Planning note: The Direct Admit pathway is the only route that guarantees a Kelley seat at the point of first-year admission — the Business Pathways route requires a competitive internal application after Year 1 at IU Bloomington.

The Kelley Full-Time MBA is a two-year residential programme built around a first-year on-campus core and a flexible +Flex second year that can be completed on campus or online.

Kelley MBA Rounds and Interview Policy

GMAT/GRE: Both accepted, and there is no minimum published score. Waivers are available for candidates who can demonstrate strong quantitative coursework or hold CPA or CFA certifications. If a candidate submits multiple attempts, the highest score is used.

Interview: Kelley interviews are by invitation only, conducted by admissions committee members and not alumni. Not every applicant receives an interview; the invitation itself is a strong positive signal but not a guaranteed admit.

Kelley School of Business Application Process for Indian Students

Kelley uses a two-phase application flow. Phase 1 is short and free; Phase 2 unlocks after review and carries the paid materials. Portal access sits at the Kelley Application Portal for graduate programmes and the Common App or IU Application for the BSB. 1. Submit Phase 1: upload a resume and answer a five-minute short-form questionnaire. Phase 1 is free of cost and is used to shortlist candidates for Phase 2.
2. Wait for the Phase 2 invitation: the admissions team reviews your Phase 1 within one to three weeks and either invites you to Phase 2 or closes the file.
3. Pay the application fee of USD 75 (around ₹7,140): the fee unlocks the Phase 2 portal on the Kelley Application Portal. No fee waivers are available.
4. Upload Phase 2 documents: essays, recommendations, transcripts, and English test score (or MOI letter for the waiver). GMAT or GRE only if not waived.
5. Complete the admissions interview if invited: conducted by an admissions committee member either in person at Bloomington or by video call.
6. Receive the admission decision: released round by round on the schedule below.
7. Pay the enrolment deposit and initiate the I-20: upload financial documentation to trigger F-1 visa processing.
