To be eligible for admission at CSU, students must meet the admission requirements, such as academic eligibility, and also submit the correct documents on time.

Cleveland State University Graduate Admissions

The admission requirements to apply for graduate courses are given below:

1. Transcripts of academic work & degree certificates from each college/university attended. As a part of your application, you are required to order an evaluation of your foreign education credentials from one of their three approved servicers:

• Educational Credential Evaluators (ECE)
• World Education Services (WES)
• SpanTran

1. Proof of having met at least one of the English language proficiency requirements. CSU offers students the following choices to prove English language proficiency:

• Meet minimum test score requirements:

• Completion of English language studies (Level 112) from any ELS Language Center.
• Graduated from a secondary school or accredited college/university in the US or from one of the TOEFL exempted countries.

1. Official score report of the GRE, GMAT, or MAT, if required by your academic department for your program. The academic program has the option of requiring additional test requirements from applicants. Please check your academic department's requirements in the graduate catalog.
2. Letters of recommendation are required for most programs, but not all. Please check your specific program's requirements by reviewing the minimum admissions requirements by program.
3. Application & Essays: Submit via the Graduate Application Portal along with an application fee $40 (INR 3529)and a Statement of Purpose (SOP). Some programs may require additional essays or writing supplements.
4. Financial Documents (F-1 Visa Applicants): Submit a Declaration of Finances Form signed by the sponsor and verified by the bank of deposit. Embassy letters confirming sponsorship are needed for government-sponsored students.

Cleveland State University MBA

Admission to the Master of Business Administration program is based on the following criteria:

• Applicants must meet all College of Graduate Studies admission requirements.
• Domestic Students: Admission is based on a combination of factors:
  • Applicant’s final undergraduate GPA is 2.75 or higher.
  • Applicant completed an undergraduate degree from an approved accredited institution according to Cleveland State University.
  • Applicant holds a master’s degree or Ph.D., or an MD degree from an approved accredited institution, according to Cleveland State University.
  • No GMAT/GRE is required for admission.
• An official transcript from each college and university previously attended must be sent to the Office of Graduate Admissions.
• Admission requires completion of a test of English proficiency, for admission TOEFL exam with a total score of 78 or higher, or the IELTS exam with a total score of 6 or higher for admission.

Cleveland State University Undergraduate Admissions

For Undergraduate admissions, international students must meet the following criteria:

• Applicants must have a Higher Secondary School Certificate
• High School GPA of 2.3 or higher
• You need to submit high school/secondary school transcripts and any post-secondary transcripts, and a Copy of your passport
• English Language Proficiency Scores: TOEFL: 78 (no part below 17), IELTS: 6.0 (no score below 5.0)
