How is Fire & EHS Engineering of GSFC University different from other Universities?

GSFC University is the first University in Gujarat to start a full-time Fire & EHS Engineering program in 2019. GSFCU, being a CSR initiative of GSFC Ltd, is following a medical college model, and here the students undergo both practical & theoretical related to subjects. The unique features of GSFC University are:GSFCU students have access to well-equipped 2 Fire stations, 7 Fire tenders, a Snorkel, and other modern equipment related to the Fire & Safety department, GSFC Ltd.GSFCU students also have access to the Environment Control Department & ETP / STP of GSFC Ltd.Well-equipped Medical Centre with experts in the field of first aid and occupational health & safety.The exposure of students to the operational plants, on-site experience, and training by Industrial Professionals.MoU with major industries and Academic institutions like AAI, GIDM, IIT-Gandhinagar, University of Maryland, and Victoria University.

Does GSFC University provide transportation facilities to reach the university?

The University campus can be reached by public transport from Vadodara city. All the buses going to Dashrath village can be used for this purpose. The University also runs buses on a chargeable basis as per the university's timing. GSFC University charges INR 15,000 Per Annum as transportation charges. The information regarding the same can be collected from the administration office.

GSFC University placement 2025 report has not been released yet. As per the GSFC NIRF 2025 report for undergraduate (UG) programs, the median package has seen a sharp increase from INR 1.80 LPA in 2021–22, to INR 2.25 LPA in 2022–23, and further to INR 2.80 LPA in 2023–24, reflecting a 55% overall growth in just three years. Similarly, postgraduate (PG) students have experienced steady growth in placement packages, with the median rising from INR 3.00 LPA in 2021–22 to INR 3.25 LPA in 2022–23, and reaching INR 3.50 LPA in 2023–24, a 16.7% increase.

In terms of placement activity, 277 UG students qualified in GSFC University placement 2023–24, the highest over the three years, although the number of UG students placed dropped to 3, compared to 4 in 2022–23 and 20 in 2021–22. For PG programs, 101 students qualified in 2023–24, with 27 placed, marking a significant improvement from just 1 placement in 2022–23 and 5 in 2021–22.

Placement Experience:

* Students can become eligible for placement after completing their 3rd year of college. * Approximately 10-12 companies visited from Vadodara and other offers also came in from companies outside vadodara and even Gujarat. * As per my knowledge, the highest package offered is of 6LPA till now. * Through college placements, the try is to place all the students but the percentage of students placed (who opted for placements and not masters) are 80%.

Several famous companies have visited and many offers have been made by them. companies like Byjus, Reliance, GSFC, Nirma, etc. have visited for campus placements. The average package offered by the company is 3 lakhs per annum and the highest package was 7 lakhs per annum. Approximately 60%-70% of the students get placed. My plan after this degree is to appear for the CDS exam.

After every semester the university is providing an internship and it is a 4 credit course which is compulsory for all the students to undergo the same. If the student wishes that he/she is interested in this particular company then that is allowed as well as the university also offers the lists of companies that students can undergo. After completing the whole course the university looks after the placement process and this is handled by the placement team. The placement team circulates the Google form for reviewing the candidate's opinion that he or she is interested in getting placed and all. The company's who comes for the placement are from all over the Gujarat state and they provide a package as per the position of the candidate at which he/she is placed.
