My College life

Likes

Teachers were quite friendly and approachable.
Campus is located in a serene area and we got fresh air.
Notes were provided in details so that students did not face problems during exams.

Dislikes

There is no canteen in the campus which was a major issue.
The location is such that there is not even a proper cafe or an eatery around.
Some teachers barely focused on providing proper classes.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum was quite irrelevant to be honest. None of it is actually followed in real life. We did not have proper practical classes which I think was of utmost importance rather than rote learning theories which aren't even applicable in classroom.

B.ed is necessary if you want to be a professional teacher.It has a good scope in both government and private schools.curriculum comprises of both theoretical and practical knowledge.Questions are moderate.

Overview of my college

Likes

Education, life style in college, campus life.
Teaching style of teachers, different program conducted in the college.
Placement opportunities of the college is pretty decent.

Dislikes

Slow process of official work sometimes due to more paper work.
Sometimes mis management of the college is also one of the main issue that student issue.
Fees is quite high as compared to other college fees for the same degree.

From the final year, companies start to come for jobs as well as an internship. Companies like Akash, IIT, DIGIT, and different new startups come to take the student as a decent package. Many students opt for a Ph.D. after this course.

Admission:

I choose this college for pursuing the B.Ed course after I completed my graduation. I passed out my graduation in Education honors with a total score of 67% of marks and without appearing for any entrance exam my admission was conducted.

Stepping Stone To A Teaching Career

Admission:

Admissions to the B.Ed. course is done on the basis of merit in the qualifying examination. The entrance exam is pretty tough and I had to study a lot to pass it, However I cleared the exam with good marks and thus got admission into this amazing University.

Remarks:

One amazing thing about WBUTTEPA is our Research Infrastructure, a number of research centers have been made on the campus. Research is conducted on a number of subjects pertaining to different fields of study. Students and teachers both actively participate in the research work.

Remarks:

I am currently doing B.Ed. from WBUTTEPA, Kolkata. The admission process is quite smooth and trouble free and the students just have to secure good marks in the qualifying examination. The students should have passed 10+2 and should have studies either science or mathematics till class 12th.
