The PhD (Mechanical Engineering) program at IIT Goa is highly affordable for Regular/TA category students, with a tuition fee of just Rs. 2,500 per semester. Eligibility Criteria

For Full-Time PhD (Engineering Stream): Master's Degree in Engineering/Technology with minimum 60% marks or CPI 6/10 (55% or CPI 5.5 for SC/ST); OR B.Tech/B.E. with minimum 70% marks or CPI 7/10 (65% or CPI 6.5 for SC/ST).
Additional requirement: Valid GATE score in a relevant stream (mandatory for B.E./B.Tech/B.S./MCA/M.Sc. degree holders); OR JRF of CSIR/UGC/NBHM/DBT; OR B.Tech/Dual Degree from IIT with CPI 8.0 or above; OR minimum 2 years of professional experience in relevant areas (for B.Tech/B.E./B.S./MCA/M.Sc. holders).
M.Tech/M.E. degree holders are exempted from the additional GATE/JRF requirement.

Admission Process

Pay the non-refundable application fee: Rs. 200 for General/OBC candidates; Rs. 100 for Female/SC/ST/PwD candidates, via NEFT/RTGS/UPI.
