My academics and campus life at amity university kolkata

Fees and Financial Aid:

The total fees that I'm paying is around is 10Lakhs. This is because I got the scholarship on the basis of my 12th marks. But the total actual fees is around 12,50,000 and there is also one time security deposit of 20,000, which will be refunded after graduation. There is no any other hidden fees like registration fee, admission fee, development fee, lab fees. All the students are paying the total fee of 12,50,000 (hostel not included). But, they provide a scholarship on the basis of your 12th percentage. Like if you are having more than 85% in your 12th boards then you will definitely get the scholarship of 25%, if you are having more than 90% then you will get scholarship of 50% and if you are having more than 95% then you will get 100% scholarship.

The fees structure of our program keeps on increasing with the following year.Our college also provide scholarship as per the boards result of the percentage is above 95 then for the first 2 sems the student have 100%scolarship if it's above 90 then it's 75%and if it's above 85 then 50% and if it's above 80 then 25%scolarship will be provided.

Amity University, Kolkata from a btech biotechnology

Dislikes

Attendance is way too strict and they don't allow to sit for end semester if you don't have 75% Attendance
Semester fees is a lot compared to other colleges and they take a good amount of fine if it's not payed within time

Btech Biotechnology is a 4 year course with 8 semesters and the fees are taken semester wise . In every 6 months are semester fees are taken and there's a apporx 2.5lakh per year fee required. 20k fees are also taken during admission as a security deposit which is refundable after you complete yiur course. You get a benefit of scholarship based on your marks if you take admission within 2yrs of passing 12th .

20k security fee and around 1.2 lakh each semester till date I have paid around 4 lakh since I'm a 2nd year student . The feeling structure can be and fee details can be found on the official site of our university.

We are paying ?2,56,000 per year and it increases by about 7% every year. Every B.Tech student pays the same fees except if they are a sponsored student. Sponsored students are eligible for upto 100% fee exclusion.

Actually in our university we need pay our fees through semester wise: 1st and 2nd sem-170000/- 3rd and 4th sem-123000/- 5th and 6th sem-129000/- 7th and 8th sem-135000/- There is no other additional fees that we need to pay rather than this tution fees which is the all total semester fees. Some of my batchmates having 10-30% off in each year based on their CGPA. Students can apply for SVMCM whose percentage is more than 60% and they will get an amount of 60000/- per year.

It's a nice college

For B.Tech CSE the approximate fees for 4 years is 10 to 12 lakhs. There are 3 types of scholarships 25%,50% and 100%. You'll get 100% scholarship if you've scored above 9.8CGPA. As of now there are no campus employment opportunities known to me.

The exam schedule and holiday lists can be provided a bit early for the students

The fees is pretty affordable compared to other private colleges. We are charged almost 1.2 lacs per semester, with the price increasing by about 5000 per year. The complete cost comes around 13 to 14 lacs for 4 years. The hostel is an extra 1.2 lacs per year. There are multiple scholarship options which can be easily searched online. Even if one is not eligible for scholarship at the start, with enough merit, one can earn upto 30% scholarship.

The class timings are very odd... sometimes there is a gap of almost 3 hours between 2 classesv
No proper schedule is provided also at times classes are scheduled few hours prior

The semester fees is around 1 lakh 20 thousand for every semester.scholarship is provided to students who have scored well in class 12th exams.Also for students who score good in semester exam are eligible for availing scholarship

The average placement package offered to the M.Sc. Biotechnology students is INR 4.5 lacs per annum. The highest package is INR 12 lacs per annum. The placement percentage is 80%.
