How much time does it take for the end semester results to be declared after the end of exams in Adamas University Kolkata for BA/BBA LLB?

JocularJackdaw

From my experience at Adamas University for the BA LLB program, the results for our end semester exams typically come out around 4 to 6 weeks post-exams. It feels like a long wait, but at least we have a decent idea of when to expect them. The professors are usually pretty supportive during this time, which helps!

How do the placements really compare between Adamas University Kolkata B.Tech Biotechnology and Amity University Kolkata B.Tech Computer Science Engineering?

BionicBanshee

In my opinion, Amity University Kolkata's B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering has a clearer edge in terms of placements and job prospects compared to Adamas University Kolkata's B.Tech in Biotechnology. Amity has a robust career development cell that prepares students for placements from the 7th semester, and they have a strong track record with over 90% placement for those who apply. Adamas, while offering good faculty and internship recommendations, seems less focused on direct job placements, and many students opt for higher studies instead. If you're keen on immediate job opportunities and tech-related careers, Amity would be the better choice, while Adamas might suit those interested in research or further studies in biotechnology.

Should I go for B.Pharm in Adamas University Kolkata or B.Pharma in JIS University?

OrganicOtter

Jadavpur University is the top choice for B.Pharm in West Bengal. It's a government institute. To get into their Pharmaceutical department, you need to qualify for WBJEE (Physics, Chemistry, and Maths). Admission to JU is based on your engineering rank. For unreserved category students, a rank around 2k should get you in.

For other colleges, the Pharmacy rank is considered (this rank is based on your Physics and Chemistry marks only). Besides JU, Guru Nanak Institute of Pharmaceutical Science and Technology is a solid option with good placement records and decent faculty. The course curriculum is well-covered. However, it's a private college, and the fees per semester are around 70k. If money isn't a concern, you can definitely enroll here.

If your rank is good but finances are tight, the college also reserves a few seats (4–5) for TFW Candidates, where the semester fee is around 10k. Educational loans are always an option if you're keen on pursuing B.Pharm.

:-) Best wishes!

To get into the BA/BBA LLB program at Adamas University Kolkata, you need to clear their entrance test, which mainly checks your basic knowledge of language and logical reasoning. There aren't any specific marks required for admission, but scoring well can definitely help you secure a merit scholarship. I found the process really straightforward, and I was drawn to Adamas because of its good reputation for law studies.

Which one should I opt for Adamas University Kolkata B.Tech Biotechnology or JIS University B.Tech Computer Science Engineering

NoobNinja

Adamas University Kolkata for B.Tech Biotechnology offers a solid foundation with good faculty and internship opportunities, but its placement stats are less clear since students only become eligible from the 7th semester. In contrast, JIS University for B.Tech Computer Science Engineering shines in placements, boasting above 90% of students securing jobs due to its strong career development cell. The emphasis on practical skills and industry connections at JIS University gives it an edge in job prospects and packages, making it a better choice for those focused on immediate employment post-graduation. If you're leaning towards biotechnology and research, Adamas might suit you, but for a more lucrative and job-ready path, JIS University is the way to go.

Should I go for B.Tech Biotechnology in Adamas University Kolkata or B.Tech Computer Science and Information Technology in UEM Kolkata?

AestheticAce

Adamas University Kolkata offers B.Tech Biotechnology, while UEM Kolkata has B.Tech Computer Science and Information Technology, and both have unique strengths. UEM seems to have a slight edge in placements, with over 90% of students securing jobs from the 7th semester, supported by a proactive career development cell. Although Adamas provides internship opportunities and has a good faculty-to-student ratio, it lacks specific data on placement percentages, making it less appealing for immediate job prospects. If you're inclined towards technology and job security, UEM Kolkata is likely the better choice, but if you're passionate about the intersection of biology and technology and have a long-term academic vision, Adamas could be a fit.

Should I go for B.Tech Biotechnology in Adamas University Kolkata or B.Tech Computer Science Engineering in SOA University?

ResplendentRaven

I think I can provide some insight on this topic! Here’s a bit of my journey. I graduated with a B.Tech in Biotechnology in 2006. I chose biotechnology over ECE and EEE for a couple of reasons:

  • During my engineering counseling, I came across an article about advancements in genetic engineering. It sparked my interest, and I was told it was a booming field. That planted the seed for my decision.
  • Back then, placement opportunities were not as abundant as they are today. There was no mass recruitment or placement as a business. Only a handful of students would get selected, and very few companies visited for campus interviews. I thought that by the time I graduated, if the biotech boom was in full swing, my chances of placement would be better, being among the first few batches to graduate. At that time, the computer science stream wasn’t as appealing due to the US market crash and other factors.

So, I embarked on my journey! I had no clear idea of where I was headed. I found myself enjoying the production engineering aspects of biotechnology. Deep down, I felt like a mechanical engineering guy wanting to be the tough guy, rather than someone in a white coat peering through a microscope. I worked hard to secure a project in a relevant area.

Should I go for BALLB Hons. in Adamas University Kolkata or BALLB Hons. in SOA University?

LunarLeap

Both Adamas University Kolkata and SOA University offer solid BALLB Hons. programs, but Adamas seems to have a slight edge in terms of placements and internships. Adamas has a more extensive support system with a dedicated Law Library and various clubs that enhance practical exposure, which can be beneficial for networking and securing internships. While SOA University has good faculty support, its scholarship options are limited compared to Adamas, which offers merit scholarships. If you're looking for better job/package prospects and a vibrant campus life, I would recommend Adamas University. However, if you're prioritizing a specific area of law or have personal connections to SOA, that could sway your decision.

Does Adamas University Kolkata give CPI or aggregate in BA/BBA LLB at the end

RambunctiousRobin

So, in the BA LLB program at Adamas University, we actually receive a CPI instead of just an aggregate score. Each semester, we have a mix of exams and continuous assessments like projects and case studies, which are both important for our final grades. I think this system really helps in understanding our strengths and weaknesses throughout the course.
