I would choose Techno India University over Adamas University because Techno India has much better faculty and a stronger curriculum. Ultimately, it depends on what you want to pursue!

In my opinion, if you're leaning towards a career in tech and want better job prospects, B.Tech Computer Science Engineering at JIS University might be the safer bet. They have a more structured placement process with a high percentage of students getting jobs, thanks to their career development cell. On the other hand, B.Tech Biotechnology at Adamas University offers good faculty and internship opportunities, but many students have yet to secure internships, which could impact job readiness. If you're passionate about biology and technology, go for Adamas, but if you want a more straightforward path to employment, JIS is likely your best option.

Considering the fees and return on investment, B.Tech Computer Science Engineering at JIS University seems to be the smarter financial choice. It has a moderate fee of Rs. 85,000 per semester, and with the right scholarships like the Swami Vivekananda government scheme, you can ease the financial burden. The campus also offers good internship opportunities which can boost your employability. On the other hand, B.Tech Biotechnology at Adamas University has a higher fee structure and while it has a good placement record, the lack of extensive internship experience among students might limit job readiness. If you're leaning toward a more tech-driven and financially stable path, JIS University is the way to go; however, if you have a strong interest in life sciences and research, then Adamas could be worthwhile despite the costs.

Biotechnology is a great course and offers numerous career opportunities.

When it comes to choosing a college, I suggest exploring better options if finances and location aren't an issue. Here’s what I recommend:

  • First choice would be a government university/institution like IITs or NITs.
  • Consider larger and more reputable universities such as SRM, VIT, LPU, KIT, etc., for your education.
  • In terms of private colleges, reputed institutions in cities like Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Delhi NCR would be preferable compared to Adamas.

All the best!

If you don't have any other options left, then this should be your last resort.

  • Elite Biotechnology colleges are quite rare in India, and this isn't one of them.
  • Aim for the top IITs, NITs, or leading private colleges like VIT, MIT, SRM, etc. There, you'll gain excellent exposure.
  • This college is relatively new compared to the ones mentioned, so placements could vary significantly.
  • In southern and western India, there are numerous core biotech companies, offering great opportunities. In Bengal, the field is still developing.
