Studying B.Tech Biotechnology at Adamas University Kolkata has been a rewarding experience for me. The faculty-to-student ratio is decent at 60:40, and the professors are always approachable. We have a good mix of exams, including mid-terms and end-term assessments. The campus life is vibrant with annual fests like Adinova, and various clubs and activities keep things interesting. Although I haven't done an internship yet, I’ve heard that professors actively help students find opportunities. The placement stats are impressive too, with over 90% of students getting placed if they apply.
If you're considering B.Tech in Biotechnology at Adamas University Kolkata, I’d say it’s worth it! The eligibility is just passing 12th with PCB, and the application process is straightforward. The fees might be a bit on the higher side, but there are scholarships and student loans available. The campus is well-equipped with libraries and sports facilities, and I’m part of the arts club, which is fun! I also like how supportive the faculty is when it comes to internships. I’m planning to go for higher studies after this, but many of my friends are getting placed already.
If you have no other options, then this could be your last resort. Elite Biotechnology colleges are quite limited in India, and Adamas University is not one of them. Do your best to get into top IITs, NITs, or reputable private colleges like VIT, MIT, SRM, etc. There, you will gain excellent exposure.
This college is relatively new compared to the ones mentioned, so placements could vary significantly. In southern and western India, there are numerous core biotech companies, providing great opportunities. In Bengal, the sector is still developing.
If you're looking for the best bioscience department in terms of faculty, labs, and placements, IISER Kolkata is the top choice! They admit only the very best through JEE(A).
Amity, Adamas, and SNU? Not worth considering. They lack credibility in any department, especially biosciences.
I’m currently pursuing B.Tech in Biotechnology at Adamas University Kolkata, and I’ve found it to be a pretty good choice! The faculty is well knowledgeable, and many of them have PhDs from abroad, which really helps in understanding the subjects. The curriculum is a mix of tech and biology, perfect for someone like me who's interested in both. The fees are around Rs. 85,000 per semester, which is moderate, and there are scholarships available like the Swami Vivekananda government scheme. Overall, I feel like I'm getting a solid education here.
