Most Preferred Companies The preferred companies for internships depend on the course, but here are some common trends: Economics/Finance Students: Companies like Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, and McKinsey & Company are highly sought after due to their reputation and high stipends (around ₹50,000 to ₹80,000 per month). Liberal Arts Students: Internships in media houses (The Indian Express, The Quint), consulting firms, and policy think tanks are common. Monthly stipends in this field range from ₹15,000 to ₹35,000. Bulk Hiring Companies Some companies hire students in bulk for internships. These typically include: Consulting Firms: McKinsey, BCG, and EY hire large numbers of interns across different roles. The average stipend is around ₹30,000 to ₹60,000 per month. Tech Firms: Companies like Microsoft, Google, and Tata Consultancy Services also hire in bulk for technical roles, with stipends averaging ₹40,000 to ₹80,000 per month. I am not sure about this segment because I have not reached my graduation year yet. However there are consultations companies like Sequioa and McKinsey and Goldman sachs that come to Ashoka for interviewing students

Big 4 companies come in to offer internships. McKinsey, Boston Group, Bain etc., apart from well-funded startups with a socially responsible vision. Stiphend approx: 10 - 15k I personally have not opted for internships through Ashoka so I would not be able to comment on the details of the projectspoojitha

There are a lot may internship opportunities at Ashoka. The highest stipend has been around 1.5 lakhs per month. Around summer lot many companies visit the campus for internships. Besides it, you can work with the professors on different topics.

The institute also strives to bring the real world to the classroom through experiential learning for the students, industry leaders, practitioners and subject experts to take engaging sessions on a regular basis to prepare the students as future managers and leaders. In addition to this, summer internships are an integral part of management education. The institute organises summer internships, guest lectures, practical consultancy projects and year-round management development programmes.

Central Square foundation, an ngo where I got my first internship. The team of the foundation visited our college and selected few of the students. I worked there for 6 months and it was really helpful for me.

The placements and job opportunities are very good. Top complained from the banking sector approach the university.

The entrepreneurship is one of the minors available at Ashoka which allows students to venture and build their own start-ups. A student of Ashoka pursued their passion of cooking by starting a restaurant on campus called The Hunger Cycle. Most students apply to universities abroad for further studies.
