Prospective MSc Physics students must apply via the university's website and pay an entrance exam fee. After approximately 15-20 days, candidates receive a call letter for a written exam testing general skills, subject knowledge, and English. Results are announced within two weeks, followed by counseling at the campus, with admission based on exam performance and a merit list. The course starts in late July. The faculty includes 12 lecturers, most with doctorates, and an experienced Head of Department with a PhD.
The course fee is Rs 27,500 per semester, totaling Rs 120,000, payable at the start of each semester. Scholarships are available for various categories, including meritorious, financially weak students, and specific groups like single girl children and SC/ST. Payments can be made offline or online. The university hosts a campus placement drive featuring national and international companies, with about 80% of 400-500 graduates securing jobs in reputable firms like SunPharma, Infosys, and Google Labs.
Internships of 3-6 months are offered to prepare students for placements, which involve aptitude tests, group discussions, and interviews. Scholarships are also available for students with high SGPA or CGPA, economically disadvantaged students, and other specific categories. Application forms are available both offline and online.
