Eligibility Criteria

Candidate must have passed class 12th or equivalent by the AIU or Intermediate or 2-year Pre-University exam conducted by a recognized Board/ University with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/ Technical Vocational subject. Candidate who have passed the Class 12/equivalent examination in 2021, 2022, or those who are appearing in Class 12/equivalent examination in 2023, are also eligible to appear. There is no age limit for the candidates.

College life in Nagaland

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I was fond of electric toys from my childhood so I always wanted to be an electrical engineer and work in an MNC of Electric cars. There are enough faculties in my department. The ratio of faculty to students is about 1:7. Every faculty has done P.hD and joined the post of Assistant Professor. They used to teach on a whiteboard or through a projector when needed. Coming to exams, the exam is conducted every 6 months. There is a semester exam and it is not so hard. An average student who just attends classes regularly can pass the exam.

Fee Structure And Facilities:

Feasible at my time but it was doubled for the upcoming batches. The payment is usually in demand draft and tuition fees seemed high based on the state of the quality of classes that we received. Somewhat transparent and no, no additional fees are to be paid to book a place for admission.

Is it better to take ECE in NIT, Nagaland or EEE in NIT, Meghalaya (on the basis of future job prospects)?

EEE and ECE are both totally different branches and both of them have their respective job opportunities. After a lot of research, I got to know about NIT Meghalaya and Nagaland. Let me discuss them, which might give you a better idea.

In today’s world ECE has more opportunities in the private sectors whereas EEE has got more opportunities in government sectors.
They also have different requirements for the jobs.
In ECE you just need to maintain a good CGPA, with the basics fully memorized and you are good to go.
For EEE and getting a government job like PSU, you need to apply for GATE and get a good rank and score.
Placement in the ECE stream is easier than the EEE stream.
The placements of NIT Meghalaya are a little above Nagaland.
You can change your course in NIT Meghalaya to ECE even after selecting EEE in the first semester.
