Visva Bharati University was founded by the first non-European Nobel Laureate Rabindranath Thakur (popularly known as Tagore) in 1921. Visva-Bharati is a pilgrimage for education and culture. It reflects the Tagorean ethos of making a complete human being. Visva Bharati University offers various Under Graduate (UG), Post Graduate (PG), M.Phil. and Ph.D. courses under various specialisations giving the students a pool of options for undertaking higher studies. There is a total of 9 departments offering UG, PG, M.Phil. and P.hD courses including Patha Bhavan for school education. The University also provides for certain specific courses specially designed for the foreign students. The admission procedure for all the UG and PG courses generally starts from May and ends in the third week of June. Admission for most of the courses is done based on the merit of the students.
- However, for some undergraduate courses of Sangit Bhavana, Kala Bhavana, Palli Samgathana Vibhaga and Vinaya Bhavana, separate admission test will be conducted
- Reservation for SC, ST, OBC & DA(previously PWD) (Differently able) candidates is as per Govt. Rules
- Candidates can apply for more than one subject
- For General & OBC candidates Rs. 500/- + Rs. 200/- (For each additional subject)
- For SC, ST & PWD candidates Rs. 150/- + Rs. 75/- (For each additional subject)

Visva Bharati University UG Admission 2024
The Viswa Bharati University offers 8 UG courses under a variety of specialisations for students who have cleared their 10+2 examination. All the BA courses are offered under honours subjects except for one pass course i.e. Vocational Functional Hindi. The University also offers BA in foreign languages viz. Tibetan, Chinese, Persian and Japanese. Such courses are for a period of 4 years including 1-year preparatory course. The rest of the BA courses are for a period of 3 years. The Visva Bharati University offers a variety of courses for the graduates willing to pursue higher education in their respective fields. The University offers the M.A. course under 17 different specialisations, all for a duration of 2 years. It also offers M.Sc. under 11 specialisations for a duration of 2 years except for M.Sc in Integrated Science which has a period of 5 years.

Viswa Bharati University also offers M.Phil. and Ph.D courses for research on a pool of subjects. Visva Bharati University Application Process 2024
- Students must apply online only except B.Ed. and M.Ed. course
- Admit cards (wherever applicable) to be generated at the university website
- Applicants will have to report at least one and a half hours before commencement of the admission test
- The Admission Tests for courses (wherever applicable) will be conducted in Santiniketan and Sriniketan by the respective department
- Applicants must produce their original final mark sheets of previous public examinations and other relevant documents along with attested photocopies at the time of admission to various courses failing which his/her candidature will not be considered for admission

Admission:
As it is a very well known central university and the college provides various placement opportunities so i opted this collage. It is the land of Rabindranath Tagore. The admission is done through Cuet and some internal exam conducted by the university
Likes
- Teachers of the university are very cooperative. They always think about the students.
- The university is one of the oldest university of India. It is declared as a World Heritage Site by WHO. It's reputation is too good to the outer world.
Dislikes
- The campus become old. So it needs some renovations.
- There is a problem of transportation. Totos are little overpriced.
Admission:
I just applied for Visva Bharati for the course. And I got admission here. I didn't applied for any other colleges because they don't offer my subject. And there is no university near me offering this language. So simply I just applied for Visva Bharati. After the result of CUET declared every student should registered themselves through the website of the University. Then they will publish a provisional merit list of the registered students in the basis of the number they got in CUET exam. So , to apply in Visva Bharati each student have to seat for CUET exam and score good marks. After the merit list, they conduct counselling through online meeting. They 1st verify the documents online and then again verify on the 1st class of the university. Expected cutoff to get admission in VB is 90 percentile.

- The faculty here is great and that creates a great environment for the growth of your art
- The campus life is also great as you can do your stuff at any point of time and all the departments are close by so you can explore new experiences there as well
Dislikes
- The course also requires us to go other departments which are a little far but there is always transport available
- The living conditions in the hostel is not so great
Admission:
The eligibility is 10+2. The application form is available on the website and so are the notification updates. Reservation is available for OBC,SC,ST and there are many reservations available.The exams are conducted at the end of each semester

- Seniors are here like Our Elder Brothers.Senior Junior Bonding is way far better than other colleges

- Campus is open for all,any outsider can enter into the campus.
- There is no exact Boundary and Gate for the college

You should complete 10+2 with Science ,Either PCB,PCA or PCMB and You should Also Qualify All india Entrance Exam CUET to get into this college. Difficulty is not that much.Exam is held every year during May June Month.

To take addmission in visva bharti university give the CUET (Common University Entrance Test).For Archaeology you need to give G.T and history exam. If you are OBC or SC,ST then you can take reservations benefits. For entrance exam is syllabus is 12th based and for GT has general knowledge. you need to choose area for examination. After result announced fill the form for your college.
Likes
- Meeting new people, culture, environment everything is good , a good place to spend time with friends
- Fees is less compared to other government colleges
Dislikes
- Food quality is not that good, but that's in most of the college's
- It's a open university, so when we go out or roam the place, we find many people smoking
Admission:
60% or more marks in 12th grade. Must apply in cuet and from there students are selected, by giving the exams needed to take this course. Everything can be found on official website of University. Semester exams happens in between 4 to 5 months and the papers are sometimes difficult and sometimes moderately difficult. I don't know more about admission process.
Likes
- The culture of VISVA BHARATI is quite unique. The university seeks to foster creativity, critical thinking and social responsibilities among its students.
- People here are very helpful. It welcomes students and scholars from diverse background.
Dislikes
- Some departments should clean their buildings regularly. Toilets are unhygienic.
- Hostel food is not up to the mark. It's unhygienic.
Admission:
Admission in the ug and pg courses is done through the CUET Exams. Cuts off are taken from the result of cuet and higher secondary examination. There is reservation benefits for sc,st and obc. You'll find the application form in the main website of Visva Bharati.

- Environment of our university is so much student friendly
- Library is providing all types of facilities which is beneficial for self study
Dislikes
- Faculty members are not updated there self in teaching process
- Not all type of course is available here

Admission was done through cuet entrance exam. In Visva Bharati University admission process is so traditional all paper work is still done physically an u didn't get much information about this university from other sources like social media handle

- The nature, scalpture and kalabhaban area is very good.

- College does not provide campusing this is a fault.

I got the cource from admission test by myself. I find the application from on line and application fees was 600 rs and application date was 18 aug 2015. The porcess was smooth i have no issue with that

- The main thing I like is the campus. It is full of greenary which keep our mind fresh.
- The next thing is its culture. It holds our ancient civilizations.
Dislikes
- I don't have any specific dislike for VBU.
- One thing that I can mention that sometimes the exam gaps are not suitable for students.
Admission:
Here in this University the honours and masters degree for both science and arts are available. Students who have completed H.S with minimum 60% marks can apply for an honours degree. For honours admission CUET exam must be cleared and for masters, there is an admission test. There are reservation benefits for the students. The admission process is well managed by the University. Course fees are affordable for any kind of student relative to any Central university.
