Fees and Financial Aid:

Here the education fees are very low. Which is very affordable for all kinds of students. For a semester we have to pay only Rs. 5000 and a exam form fill-up fee of Rs.500 that's it. And you can receive a scholarship named SVMCM which is accessible to all students. And there is other scholarship also of various schemes. This amount is a great support to all students for their whole education. And there are no tuition fees.

Well despite being a govt college, they charge a lump amount of money per semester which is Rs. 20000 on average. students may be eligible for scholarships like SVMCM provided by Govt of West Bengal.

The unique experience in a university.

We got a less time for preparing the exam. The syllabus is very vast and are covered with a short time.

There is a minimum fee is required to complete the whole course compared to other universities in West Bengal. I had to pay 4072/- for admission. So the cost of the study is very which is a great facility for the students. Here one can apply for Swami Vivekananda merit cum means scholarship, Aikyashree, Oasis, etc according to the student's interest. This scholarship scheme helps students financially very much. After completing the course the students can get job facilities with different companies or can do research under professors.

M.Sc Microbiology In CU Main Campus

It is named as semester system, but it is not so. My 1st semester class was started on 01.01.22. The last class of 1st sem was on 10.02.23, and the exam was finished before Feb,23. That means it is not of 6 months, rather of 3.5 months.

The cost of study on CU's main campus is very less. You have to spend a total of 16088 rupees for two years, which is affordable. And if you are domiciled in West Bengal, then you will be able to get an SVMCM scholarship, in which you will get 60k in two years.

Life in Calcutta University Ballygunge Science College

The fees here are very affordable, around 4072 rupees per semester is needed to be paid. The examination fees are taken separately before the exam which is also minimal. Although the University does not provide any scholarship of its own, other government scholarships can be availed by students.

St Xavier's College is the best

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions : In this college, the fees of my course were approx 62000 per semester and every year 2 semesters were held. The second semester is quite expensive which to pay a little more. But it totally depends on the course you are studying. And if you have a laboratory then you have to pay extra fees for it. I did not get any scholarships. The scholarships can reduce the amount of the course or even make it free to study. St. Xavier's College Kolkata offers Full-time programs in different specializations. Another quite good facility is that the Students can pay admission fees of the college both online and offline and this college provides part payment of the course too which has to ve paid on every quarter of the course but only for specific students for which you have to write an application with the consequences and guardian approval. The college also provides a reduction of fees especially during the worldwide pandemic situation which was there at our times.
