- Additionally, the institution recognizes the importance of supporting students financially and offers various avenues for scholarships, financial assistance, and campus employment opportunities.
- Faculties are highly experienced with great knowledge and some of them have good teaching and mentorship style.
- The classes are also very nice, the library is beautiful, well organized and peaceful.
Dislikes
- We get information about scholarships, they are not interested in giving scholarships to poor students like us.
- I disliked the lack of facilities in college sports, or music room facilities gym and all and mess is also not good
- There is one almirah and one table and one bed provided in the hostel but the mess is really not good which was a problem in every college.

Placement Experience:
About 70% of the students gets placed every year irrespective of the branch. You are only required to have a better CGPA than the rest to get ahead of them in the qualifying round. Then the GD and Interview rounds come.
For GD, the club's here are more than enough. As mentioned earlier, every student gets enrolled in one or the other club. And the club's day to day tasks are enough for one to prepare for any GD round

Placement Experience:
The students are eligible for campus placements in the 3rd year itself. Companies like Infosys, Accenture, TCS, Microsoft, etc. are come to our college and offer placements to the students studying in nit Durgapur. The highest package for the mechanical engineering branch is 9 LPA in the year 2021. Nearly 60% of students are placed in college and the rest are placed after the college degree.

Placement Experience:
From the third semester a student may apply for an internship, while in last semester most of the students get placements in many companies visiting campus during the placement drive.
Major job offering companies are Microsoft, JPMC, Wells Fargo, Infosys, ZS Associate, Tata Metalliks, etc.
For tech branches almost 90% students got placed while in core branches more than 65% get placements after B.tech.
After getting degree, I would like to go for a placement in campus placement drive.

Placement Experience:
The college placement record is very good. The college provides good placement for the CSE program. The college placement committee is very professional and every member of the committee properly guides us during the placement round and they make sure that each and every participating student is placed. The highest package for our batch went up to 29 LPA and the average package was around 9.50 LPA. companies like Wipro, TCS, IBM, Amazon, Axis Bank, Microsoft, Capgemini, Bajaj Auto, Larsen & Toubro, Cognizant, etc visited our campus for the placement drive.

Placement Experience:
Some students of my college opt for start-ups some of them opt for higher studies and the rest appear for placements. The placement record of my college is increasing every year and the average package offered from companies is approx 7lacs per anum and the highest package is 13 lacs. Companies like TCS, Tech Mahindra, etc participate in placements.

Course Curriculum Overview:
NIT DGP is a very good college with good faculty and good placement record. Now the college is working on infrastructure. In Our college, a new hostel is under construction which would have 15 floors. Our first sem will be conducted on full online mode and exams too.

Here the placement records are very good . Among all the branches cse and IT department placement really well. Top companies come here for placement. The average package is around 11 lakh per annum. Though I want to continue my further education.

From the seventh semester, students become eligible for placements. TCS, Infosys, Capgemini, Google India, and many other companies, a total of 116 approximately as per last year, visit the college, and about 460 students were offered placements. About 82% of students got placed last year. After my graduation, I'd opt for either IT sector jobs or go for higher studies.

Placement offers by this college is totally good which makes a good ranking of this college .listed as 9th among all 32 Nits & at 41st among all IITs & Nits. Many internships offered by this college make a better experience for placement. Percentage-wise placement of the college is approx 81% placed. The highest package of 2019 is 32 LPA. It's also good for PhDs so many students go for higher studies or PhD.

Placement Experience:
Students from the 5th semester can apply for internships and those in the 7th semester are eligible to sit in the campus placements. Many reputed companies visited last year in our campus include many reputed campuses like TCS, Infosys, Amazon, Gooogle India, Capgemini, Samsung R&D. Total 116 companies arrived last time. Total 506 jobs were offered and a total of 456 were placed. The remaining no. of students either went for higher studies or started their own startups. The highest package offered last year was 44LPA CTC and the average package was 8.5 LPA CTC. About 71.92% of students got placed last year. After getting the degree I want to pursue higher studies after qualifying for the GATE examinations.

Here is a detailed review shared by my brother who completed his graduation from NIT Durgapur
- Infrastructure: Honestly, the infrastructure isn’t all that great but will provide all the basic amenities necessary for a good academic environment.
- Faculty: Most students have to resort to self-study because the professors are not very passionate about teaching. However, if you do good projects under a professor, you may be able to pursue a master's in a foreign university.
- Placements: NIT Durgapur has recorded excellent placements. This year the highest CTC offered was INR 70 LPA while the average salary offered was INR 13.64 LPA. The top recruiters included TCS Ninja, PwC, ICICI Bank, Microsoft, and many others. More than 100 recruiters participated in the placement drive and 633 students were placed.
- Opportunities: The NIT tag will open a number of opportunities for you and the alumni network is also quite extensive. You can also avail opportunities like workshops and clubs.
- Campus life: The campus life is very active with many fun-filled events like the freshers' farewell party and celebration of regional festivals. Additionally, a number of cultural and technical fests are also held.
- Administration : The administration is very slow and is not cooperative. You might face some issues.
- Location : NIT Durgapur faces no major connectivity issues. The railway station is 30 mins or 14 km away while the nearest airport is at Andal, which isn't well connected, so Kolkata Airport will be a better option. You can find the Auto rickshaw stand just at the main gate.
Overall, NIT Durgapur is a great place if you are unable to make it to IITs.
