- Additionally, the institution recognizes the importance of supporting students financially and offers various avenues for scholarships, financial assistance, and campus employment opportunities.
- Faculties are highly experienced with great knowledge and some of them have good teaching and mentorship style.
- The classes are also very nice, the library is beautiful, well organized and peaceful.
Dislikes
- We get information about scholarships, they are not interested in giving scholarships to poor students like us.
- I disliked the lack of facilities in college sports, or music room facilities gym and all and mess is also not good
- There is one almirah and one table and one bed provided in the hostel but the mess is really not good which was a problem in every college.

- Campus life is the best. You get freedom and you can do anything. There is a free campus for you where you can roam 3 at night with your girlfriend and no one is to tell you anything. You can bath or not in winter is in u .
- You can go for library for hours to study and take any book u want with anyone, maybe your girlfriend 😜. ECE is a cazz if u get take it blindly
- Helpful teachers and coding culture and dev society

- Mess in first year. That is worst. Many restrictions on first year's
- Don't take electrical engineering in this college. It is the toughest one
- Mechanical students have a lot of pressure on them.
Placement Experience:
5th semester for internships and onwards you may get PPO and from 7th semester you will get full-fledged placement opportunities though from 6th it starts.
57lpa highest and 18.8lpa average salary for CSE
95% choose the placement and others for higher studies, by their own wish. If you are in CSE, there is a 99.99% probability of your placement.

From 7 semesters students can sit for campus placement and so many companies will visit campus. Companies like Microsoft, Google, Amazon, and PSU will visit the companies. The percentage will different for different branches.

The placement was good you can imagine by seeing the average package is 11.32 lakh. 44 students got a 47lakh package which is amazing and more than 89% of students got placed. My plan is to get a job after getting a degree

Students become eligible for placement from the seventh semester.
About 200+ companies visit the campus. The highest package is offered by Microsoft which is 55 LPA and the average package is 11 LPA. various job profiles are offered in various branches.
Almost 80-90% of students get placement from campus.
I will be joining Larsen & Turbo limited as a graduate engineer trainee which I got in campus placement

A student can apply for placement from the 5th semester, placement is very much impressed with an average of 8.5 lakh per annum
Most of the multinational companies visit our campus for placement like Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Flipkart, TCS, Mahindra, and manufacturing industries and petroleum, and petrochemical industries also.
The percentage of students got placed every year is different in general from the CSE branch 95.4% of students got placed and chemical 88.8% and other branches also provide a high percentage of placement
I will join one company first then after being stable in my life I will try to make my village better by providing some facilities as there is a very less number of children getting education of higher studies

Placement Experience:
NIT DURGAPUR normally the placements commence at the beginning of the final year i.e, the seventh semester in the month of July. All students who expect to graduate from the institute by the end of the academic year are eligible for the placements. Many Reputed companies recruit students from here like Microsoft which offered a 51LPA package this year and other top recruiters include morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, Capgemini, Amazon, Vedanta, etc.

Course Curriculum Overview:
The course curriculum is too good. I choose these courses because I am very curious about electronic devices how they work and how they are made etc. The faculty-student ratio in this college is 1:6. The faculty members are well-educated many of them have completed their PhD degrees. And all the faculty members' teaching method is good I can say. To pass the exams is not very tough but if you want a good cgpa then you have to study hard not like jee but good enough.

Here is a detailed review shared by my brother who completed his graduation from NIT Durgapur
- Infrastructure: Honestly, the infrastructure isn’t all that great but will provide all the basic amenities necessary for a good academic environment.
- Faculty: Most students have to resort to self-study because the professors are not very passionate about teaching. However, if you do good projects under a professor, you may be able to pursue a master's in a foreign university.
- Placements: NIT Durgapur has recorded excellent placements. This year the highest CTC offered was INR 70 LPA while the average salary offered was INR 13.64 LPA. The top recruiters included TCS Ninja, PwC, ICICI Bank, Microsoft, and many others. More than 100 recruiters participated in the placement drive and 633 students were placed.
- Opportunities: The NIT tag will open a number of opportunities for you and the alumni network is also quite extensive. You can also avail opportunities like workshops and clubs.
- Campus life: The campus life is very active with many fun-filled events like the freshers' farewell party and celebration of regional festivals. Additionally, a number of cultural and technical fests are also held.
- Administration : The administration is very slow and is not cooperative. You might face some issues.
- Location : NIT Durgapur faces no major connectivity issues. The railway station is 30 mins or 14 km away while the nearest airport is at Andal, which isn't well connected, so Kolkata Airport will be a better option. You can find the Auto rickshaw stand just at the main gate.
Overall, NIT Durgapur is a great place if you are unable to make it to IITs.
