- Additionally, the institution recognizes the importance of supporting students financially and offers various avenues for scholarships, financial assistance, and campus employment opportunities.
- Faculties are highly experienced with great knowledge and some of them have good teaching and mentorship style.
- The classes are also very nice, the library is beautiful, well organized and peaceful.
Dislikes
- We get information about scholarships, they are not interested in giving scholarships to poor students like us.
- I disliked the lack of facilities in college sports, or music room facilities gym and all and mess is also not good
- There is one almirah and one table and one bed provided in the hostel but the mess is really not good which was a problem in every college.

- Faculty is much supportive to students of 1st years.
- There are many clubs in our college which is quite interesting to participate.
- Placements in chemical engineering is good so I personally choosen this college. 83.3% were placed in chemical engineering.
Dislikes
- The food is not as we expected. I personally don't like the canteen food in NIT Durgapur.
- Department blocks are very far. I personally hate to walk all-around the college.
- There is no E-sports club in our college. It makes gamers disappointed.

Placements are good in NIT Durgapur. The highest package is INR 70 lakhs per annum in 2023. Some top recruiters like TCS, Wipro, PWC, ICICI Bank, Microsoft visits every year during placements rounds. The average salary is around 13.64 lakhs in our college. Around 600 students were placed during placement drive in some top companies.

- Time is limited for each semester and huge academic pressure

The overall placement is good.
Placement percentage is 84.66 with average package 13.62LPA.Almost 187 companies visted in the year 2023 with total 746 offers.
The highest package in 2023 was 70LPA.
Computer science Engineering has the highest placement package in the year 2023.
MME has the highest placement percentage in the year 2023.Many students also received double and triple jobs.
My plans after getting degree is opting for higher education.

Course Curriculum Overview:
From my opinion , course curriculum rate should be 10 out of 10 . Cause the reasearch opportunities are so high level in here and facilities are so educated . Some facilities are got PhD from Germany .

From 6th semester placement is started
Companies visited Tcs, microsoft, lnt, etc
Average package is too good 10+ lpa
Around 90% students are placed
My plan after getting the degree is tp give GATE exam and opted PSU job over Mtech

- I like the nature in the campus and also neatness of roads
- The lab aquipement is very good and the staff also
- The classrooms were very neat and clean with latest technology

- I didn’t like the food in hostel and the cleaness of rooms

- Best Faculty members, very good and helpful seniors
- A big campus with two playgrounds- OVALS, LORDS
- Annual fest- Rectacy, Aarohon, Tech fests, clubs,

- Heavy restrictions, no interaction with seniors
- No Freshers Party, Not allowed us in Student Activity Centre
- No such gardens or places to time pass in nature in our campus
Course Curriculum Overview:
I would rate the course curriculum 4.5/5 as it is designed totally based on the Industrial aspects on Chemical Engineering.
We also have C and DSA in our 1st year curriculum which helps us in the beginning step to coding world

- The culture which is all india. We find people coming all around the country
- The campus is very free and green where as the area outside is quite polluted . It feels good inside the campus
Dislikes
- There is a restriction for the first years whole 2 semesters, which is good for anit ragging but its too long period
- The hostels are quite small but the one which is alloted for first and second years is good
- The campus is a bit small compared to the other nits
Placement Experience:
The placement records are quite cool in this campus. The average package of cse goes around 22 lpa and not only that but in the department of mme the placement percentage is around 97 which is very great . Many of the other department students are also getting placed

- In first semester we are not allowed to go out from hostel because of restrictions

- Interaction with juniors and seniors is good
- New hostel and buildings are of very high standards

- Transportation cost is very high and very less negotiable rate are there
- Food is mostly sweet and you'll miss spiciness

from 5th semester internship starts
and from 7th placement opens
Big companies like Microsoft, JPMC, Wells Fargo and many more come as campus recruitment
very good opportunities for females
Internship rate is bit low
for most of branches placement is above 75%
few have 85-90% placement rate
People also pursue UPSC,MBA,GATE after degree completion

- The campus is big and full of tress. .
- There are two major fests AAROHAN AND RECSTACY WHICH ARE VERY GOOD
- The seniors are also very helpful with their guidance

- There are a few labs which needs to be upgraded
- Semester end in only 4 months and exams take place every 2 months
- Few teachers are not clear with what they teach

My course i.e Electrical engineering here at Nit Durgapur has got some really awesome faculties who teach very well and are really helpful.The curriculum of this course prepares us well to face any challenges related to our field.Exams take place every 2 months

Here is a detailed review shared by my brother who completed his graduation from NIT Durgapur
- Infrastructure: Honestly, the infrastructure isn’t all that great but will provide all the basic amenities necessary for a good academic environment.
- Faculty: Most students have to resort to self-study because the professors are not very passionate about teaching. However, if you do good projects under a professor, you may be able to pursue a master's in a foreign university.
- Placements: NIT Durgapur has recorded excellent placements. This year the highest CTC offered was INR 70 LPA while the average salary offered was INR 13.64 LPA. The top recruiters included TCS Ninja, PwC, ICICI Bank, Microsoft, and many others. More than 100 recruiters participated in the placement drive and 633 students were placed.
- Opportunities: The NIT tag will open a number of opportunities for you and the alumni network is also quite extensive. You can also avail opportunities like workshops and clubs.
- Campus life: The campus life is very active with many fun-filled events like the freshers' farewell party and celebration of regional festivals. Additionally, a number of cultural and technical fests are also held.
- Administration : The administration is very slow and is not cooperative. You might face some issues.
- Location : NIT Durgapur faces no major connectivity issues. The railway station is 30 mins or 14 km away while the nearest airport is at Andal, which isn't well connected, so Kolkata Airport will be a better option. You can find the Auto rickshaw stand just at the main gate.
Overall, NIT Durgapur is a great place if you are unable to make it to IITs.
