Likes

Staff - The staff is very friendly and supportive. They can also give career guidance and are very helpful. It is easy for the students to contact the professors and other staff .
Mess food committee - If any problem arises with the food , the warden and other members come to check the mess and their food the very next day .
Stress free enviornment for the students. Students have all the opportunities to discover their interests and participate in various competitions.

Dislikes

The drinking and smoking culture in Rmlnlu
Unequal rules , intime and strictness for girls and boys .
The no. Of dogs , even though I love dogs but sometimes it is very dangerous because they just jump on to attack us.

Placement Experience:

You are eligible for placements from 4-5th year but these are the one that you would find . For on campus placement you would get them in 5th year. Wipro , Khaitan and co. Etc. are the big companies that visit to our college Highest placement 2025 were 22lpa and median was 10 lpa. The no. Of students opting for corporate law are less mostly go for judiciary.

A General Overview of RMLNLU

The infrastructure of RML is something to be proud of. The campus looks beautiful during the day and even more during the nights. Being a residential college, hostels are inside the college campus, which is a double-edged sword for many.
The RMLNLU, e-library has a vast number of resources to research for your competitions or research papers and the library allows us to issue the books for 15 days, which can be re-issued thrice by the same person before being returned to the library.
RMLNLU has a lot of societies, and committees, so there is never a lack of socialisation felt by the students. The events organised by the committees are excellent & give students the opportunity to excel both in recreational & academic activities.

Dislikes

No centres for research in RMLNLU. Unlike other colleges or NLUs, there seems to be a lack of research centres in RMLMLU, for reasons that remain unknown to me. Personally, I would have loved to be a part of a research centre.
Restrictive timing relating to hostel and library. Girls in this college are not allowed to leave the hostel after 12:30AM, and the library too closes at 12AM.
Although RMLNLU boasts of an Olympic size swimming pool, the pool is drained out and has been closed since covid or earlier. As someone, who likes to swim, that was something I definitely disliked when i came to college for the first time.

Placement Experience:

Students from third year have started getting Pre-Placement Offers, but many of those are majorly due to their own accomplishments. Students get ample amount of time to intern at various law firms and courts, to secure a PPO on their own. In addition to this, the Internship and Placement Committee, often comes in aid to secure PPOs for the students of the graduating batch.

Good College with Decent Placements.

Likes

The most important thing which I like about my College is the Infrastructure, which is really nice. Very good sports facilities and gym. Best library in UP.
We have a very good crowd because students around rank 600 in clat opt for this College.
The college is located very near to the city and its very easily accessible to the airport and other railway station.

Dislikes

The things which I don't like about the college is one thing is placement because we don't have a lot of College placements around 40 students are place every year and we need to work on that aspect.
The other thing which I don't like is certain subjects in the college which are taught. There are a few traditional law subjects which are not relevant for today and there should be more emphasis on the corporate subjects.
The other thing which I don't like about the college is lack of internship opportunities I think college should provide more internship opportunities to the students studying in the college.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good in the college. Only around 20 to 30 people are place every year through the College placements. However a lot of students get place through pre placement offers on their own. The students go for law internships and work there and get placed. Most of the students prepare for Judiciary and civil services

Remarks:

There was a seminar in my achool detailing all the wonderful opportunity and vast career opportunity available after graduation from law, this drove me to write clat and I got selected in this college based on my competition rank. This is the NLU with the lowest fees of them all.
