I completed my LLM from Government Law College, Coimbatore. The whole course duration was very much knowledgeable for me and I got to learn a lot. Teachers were also quite helpful and gave us good career guidance. The fee is also quite feasible because of which I was able to pursue my LLM.
The eligibility criteria for applying to the 3-year LLB course is to have completed a Bachelor's degree in any discipline first. There is also a requirement that at least 60% aggregate marks should have been obtained in the undergraduate course to be able to apply.
The BALLB course can be done right after completing 10+2. So, I applied after getting my results came out. This college is known to be very good, so I applied here. Based on a cut-off, they published a merit list. I made the cut-off, so I took admission here.
The college provides good facilities to students in their course for their better understanding. All the classrooms enabled with projector. The infrstructure is pretty old but good. Overall campus is good with greenery, birds and squirrels running around. Mess and canteen are also available.
Admission process is not very hard. It is completely on the basis of merit obtained in the 12th standard. You need to score above 70% to be considered for admission if open, and 60% if you have reservations, not including languages. The application form is attached in the prospectus.
Admission for BA LLB and other combined programs is solely on the basis of merit obtained in the qualifying exam, that is in the HSC examination. The basic eligibility is that you need to have an aggregate of 70%(For Open students) excluding languages, and 60% for SC. Please note that marks obtained in any improvement exams will not count.
Government law college is a best college. The college crowd is a mixture of students from various cultures. Coimbatore is a beautiful and simole city which provodes a very good atmosphere to the students to mould their carrer. This college is very reputed institute and the best lawyers of the city are the alumni of this college.
