IIM Trichy will no longer be a part of the Common Admission Process (CAP) and will instead independently manage the selection process for MBA. IIM Trichy, along with IIM Raipur, IIM Kashipur, and IIM Ranchi, will have a Joint Admission Process (JAP) from 2026. The joint process allows candidates to apply to all four institutes through a single application window, reducing the need for multiple submissions and separate procedures.
IIM Trichy Admission to the PGPM and PGPM-HR programs is determined by a valid CAT score, which is accompanied by a Written Ability Test (WAT) and a Personal Interview (PI). IIM Trichy CAT Cutoff 2024 is 94 for the general category.

IIM Trichy PhD Eligibility
- To be eligible for admission, candidates must have scored at least 60% (55% in the case of reserved categories) in a Master’s degree, Integrated Master’s Program, or a 2-year PG Diploma.
- In addition to this, they must have secured at least 60% (55% in the case of reserved categories) in Graduation from a recognized University.
- Candidates who have professional qualifications like CA / ICWA / CS with at least 50 percent aggregate marks along with a Bachelor’s degree (with at least 60 percent marks) are also eligible.

- The selection will be based on scores of the GMAT, GATE, GRE, UGC-JR, or IIMB Entrance Test.
