Inside Bishop Heber College, Trichy: A Complete Student Life & Campus Experience Review

appreciated the disciplined atmosphere, supportive faculty, and values-driven culture at Bishop Heber College. The environment was academically focused and peaceful. However, I felt the college could improve by providing more hands-on training,
Campus life was engaging and welcoming. I had the chance to build good friendships and participate in student events.
The faculty were knowledgeable and taught with clarity and dedication. Their explanations of complex actuarial concepts were effective.

Dislikes

There’s a lack of internships, industrial visits, and interaction with actuarial professionals which are essential for practical learning.
Most class are lecture based and less digital used
Placement is not very strong for students of bsc Actuarial mathematical science.

I chose B.Sc. Actuarial Science because the curriculum covers key subjects like Probability, Financial Mathematics, Statistics, and Economics, which align directly with actuarial exam syllabi from IAI and IFoA. The structured approach to building mathematical and analytical foundations was a major reason for selecting this course

JJ COLLEGE allow the students to take part in internships

Dislikes

The college is collecting Compulsory bus fees and the should use the college bus is one of the rule.

i felt that infrastruced is good. it is comparatively good from other colleges. it have separted blocs. i should not complain about the cleanliness. the faculty member is good and very talented. they are the basement to further placement.
the teacher is so kind. they are really down to earth person. they can able to answer all our questions
infrastructure is 10/10. there is garden setup for students and teacher . it looks really good

Dislikes

in particular places it contained birds poop. i think this should remove completely
i felt good is all professor are busy but we need them. they available for anytime.
for the canteen and cafeteria food we can give 4.4/5 because there need to little chairs for students to rest themselves

in my school days i love a teacher named vijaya she is so talented. she is unwell that time but i need to appreciate her sincertiy. really the cirrculum help me a lot. im here now because particular subject helps me to grow. i dont find difficult in the subjects matters. the timing of exam takes 3hrs it more than enough to write.

Life at BDU

Likes

Access to various labs for students inside the campus
Lots of Trees around the campus making us feel good
Central Library and informatics center provides us peaceful space to study

Dislikes

The departments are far away from each other, especially hostels so making us walk quite a bit

Course Curriculum Overview:

Actually Life Sciences Covers everything - Plant Science, Animal Science, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Bioinformatics..... and chemistry, physics, maths etc... At 4th sem we get to choose our specialization.

Our college provides lot of courses for skill development
The campus and facilities feels comfortable and natural view
Mobile is restricted in college and facilities are friendly in our department

Dislikes

Mobile restricted impact positively and negatively, emergency times we need mobile but we don't
Strict Rules are more frasutuated and I'd plugging
Timing of college is 9 clock and the gate will be closed 8.50

Placement Experience:

Final year student are eligible for the interview and annual average package is124000 and 75 percentage required to attend the placement of various companies and our college provides so many carrier development programs and it will shape our carrier

A Detailed description about our heaven

Likes

We have been engaged in many activities than the academics
Sports students have been given more value
There are scholarships and consessions given to the sports students

Dislikes

Some restrictions regarding the dress code
There is only two canteen in our campus.
New attendance structure given by the college management

My course is fully based on theories it would be so boring but my teachers make the class engaging and they make us to engage in seminar and practical class and in a paper we had teaching practice for internal it made us engaged and excited

Disliked in my life many things there is no money.
I am lower middle class family I could control myself

Fees and Financial Aid:

Year fees 15000 Tution fees 5000. I am going to part-time job for my fees. Per sem, they are collecting fees 15000 for yrs it's comes to 30000 so kindly accept and give some money for my next sem fees.

they are give sports scholarship is very good thing

My college giving good coaching and development to soft skills. Bon secours college all ways maintain good decipline and maintain silent of the college. All programs liking more for everyone then my college help for show individual talent for student

I don't like my college timings and bon secours college canteen some snacks only good and college fees very very High my college no rules for giving Wednesday that I don't like and some programme taking more time of bringing that negative for student

Is there any entrance exam for Msc Biotechnology? In st.josephs college trichy.

No, you don't need to appear for any entrance exam for admission to MSc Biotechnology course. Admission to biotechnology course is done on the basis of Merit in the qualifying examination.
