Ques. What are the research areas available under PhD Mathematics at MUJ Jaipur?
Ans. The PhD Mathematics program at MUJ is housed in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics. Research areas include pure mathematics (algebra, topology, analysis), applied mathematics (numerical methods, differential equations), mathematical modeling, statistics, operations research, and computational mathematics. Interdisciplinary research with engineering and data science departments is also encouraged.

Ans. Full-time PhD scholars must fulfill a mandatory residential requirement of at least one semester with a minimum 75% attendance at the MUJ campus. However, MUJ also offers a Part Time PhD option (minimum 4 years) for working professionals, including college lecturers. Teacher Fellows are also exempted from the written entrance test.
Ques. What is the total fee for the PhD Mathematics Full Time program at MUJ?
Ans. The total program fee for the minimum 3-year duration is INR 1,00,000 (INR 10,000 one-time registration fee + INR 30,000 per year for 3 years). If the program extends beyond 3 years (up to 6 years), an additional INR 30,000 per year is payable. Hostel accommodation is optional and costs approximately INR 1,57,220-1,74,050 per academic year.
Ques. What financial support is available for full-time PhD Mathematics scholars at MUJ?
Ans. Full-time scholars can avail the Dr. Ramdas Pai PhD Scholarship (INR 35,000/month in Year 1, INR 40,000/month in Year 2, INR 45,000/month in Year 3) or the Academic Assistance Scholarship (INR 20,000-30,000/month). Additionally, up to INR 30,000 is provided for presenting research at Scopus/WoS-indexed conferences during the entire PhD duration.
