RGNUL is best in terms of facilities!

Likes

A campus that runs entirely on green energy and this initiative deserves a salute.
Patiala is one of the hottest city in Punjab but our campus is different as with the amount of flowers and fauna it has, wind blows constantly around our campus.
Our buildings are better than any NLUs as we have a central air-conditioning in all our buildings.

Dislikes

Intenrships are nil and even placements aren't of highest standard which a top NLU should have.

It is a no bran question as CLAT is the only way to qualify for NLUs. I took a year off to prepare for CLAT and NLUs is what I was targetting and I consider myself lucky to be studying in NLUs. Ranks decide which NLU you can get and till the first semester as per ranks upgrades can happen depending upon the availability of the seats.

RGNUL is very astute!

Likes

The only NLU of the country which is centralised AC is ours.
If one wants to be a successful lawyer than RGNUL is the place as many renowned names in Indian law system have passed out from RGNUL.
Sports facilities and especially the football ground of RGNUL has seen students playing football till 2 am.

Dislikes

Some students lose drive and therefore dropout ratio at our college has increased somehow.

Admission in our college or NLUs in India are based on CLAT scores. Since our college is 9th ranked so students between 1000-1500 ranks in general category are the ones who opt for our college. Being in top 2000 is also an ask and for a top college like RGNUL, it will ask such scores to maintain the standard and ranking for which it has fought so hard.

RGNUL is regardless the best NLU!

Likes

One will never feel nervous here as nobody intimidates anyone here and infact supportive.
Before the college finishes maximum students are already placed.
RGNUL is now among the top 10 NLUs of the country.

Dislikes

Food here is monotonous as not many off states dishes are made here.

Admission:

Admission in any NLU are a very big thing. Especially the general category students have to be in top 1000 to be in top 10 NLUs. I ranked 880 and GNLU which was my dream college just became a dream but then among the others, I felt RGNUL had better facilities and placements even if ranking is 9th.

I liked the all over Infrastructure of my university wherein we have good and hygienic toilets , clean and green campus.
I love the ways of social interaction like the committees, clubs and different organisations.
We have early sports fests like the Penta league, Zelus etc. Which help in networking with other universities also.

Dislikes

There is no much to dislike in my university but some areas like no availability of barber, tailor in our campus.

I didnt apply to any other college thats why this question stands irrelevant to me. Rather, I gave CLAT exam which had many good Nlu's than mine but only there was a difference of placements. Many institutions like National Law School of India University(NLSIU), Bengalore are other prestigious institutions in which through CLAT we get admission .

RGNUL has best facilities!

Likes

Girls should be happy as in our campus there are more girls than boys in each batch.
Our program in our college is more practical than theory.
Peers are better than expected and always take stand for each other.

Dislikes

Most top NLUs provide students a portal to apply for internships but at RGNUL there's no such options.

Admission in RGNUL is just every single NLU of this country and that is through Common Law Admission Test. Those times have flew where there wasn't much competition but now we have competition of note as even IIMs have introduced law.

RGNUL is best law college in Punjab!

Likes

Not just the books but our campus also has enough mettle to gives us practical learnings too.
The placement rate of RGNUL has increased in last few years and that is why it has broken into top 10 law colleges of the country now.
Infrastructure of our campus is more developed than all the NLUs of the country.

Dislikes

Still placements rate are lower than that of NUJs and GNLU and some other NLUs.

Admission:

Admission are through CLAT like all the NLUs this is the only way. There's no backdoor entry in our college. So it doens't matter how influential you are but the only way you can get admission in any NLUs is through CLAT. Cut-off ranks for RGNUL is upto 1800 for general category.

RGNUL is a nice NLU!!

Likes

NLU Patiala is the first NLU who have started the green initiative and we have solar systems installed at terraces.
Greenery is also in check as the entire campus has a great forest cover too.
Our convention centres and auditoriums are high class and even CM of Punjab have come and given speeches there.

Dislikes

Management hardly listens to students problems and it takes longer than usual for our problems to get resolved.

I wanted NALSAR as it is anybody's dream but sad that I couldn't get there as my ranks was a little over thousand and for NALSAR it has to be less than 200. So, no problem NLU is an NLU and RGNUL is also among the top 10 NLUs of the country.

RGUNL is really good!!

Likes

Our college has facilitated renewable energy sources like we have solar panels and all installed at our campus.
We have research centres at our college and all the students are propelled to join research programs.
The camaraderie between juniors and seniors ar our college is quite commendable.

Dislikes

Eventually all our problems are addressed but it takes ages to get it done.

Admission:

I didn't applied for colleges other than NLUs as last year I didn't got admission at NLUs so I took a drop. This year I got 1100 rank and RGUNL was possibly the best option in that. Admissions in NLUs are based on score that we get in CLAT.

RGNUL is Remarkable!!

Likes

Definitely the hostels as there are as many as 6 hostel blocks and new in construction.
Patiala is a beautiful city and so is our campus so it's hard to tell what is more prettier.
The beautiful Patiala Museum is nearby and that's our best hangout place.

Dislikes

Still construction work is going on and that creates a a lot of noise pollution.

One has to lookdown from 11th onwards if they wish to become a lawyer as one has to prepare for CLAT. Even though it isn't that tough but many students take a drop and so did I as I wanted an NLU to pursue law.

The Comprehensive Overview of RGNUL

Likes

The Infrastructure of the University is exceptional making it one of the greatest infrastructures among NLU's. Moreover, the campus is also green with renewable energy infrastructures.
The faculty at RGNUL is great and student friendly, where they do not work just as your professors but also as your mentors, and to promote the same a faculty-student mentorship programme is promoted at our university.
The overall environment at the university is also great, where the students are coming from all over India, providing you a holistic experience and the relationship between the juniors and the seniors is also great and friendly.

Dislikes

The University is situated outside the city, making it sometimes tough to travel and expensive to railway stations and bus stand, moreover this also results in causing hardships to students to travel the city for their basic daily needs

The choosing of RGNUL, was the result of CLAT examination counselling, as after taking CLAT, based on my rank I was having the opportunity to select the RGNUL or NLU Patna, but RGNUL was chosen by me because of its previous establishment and more placement opportunities in comparison to the NLU Patna. Though RGNUL cannot be said a dream college of mine, because I wanted to be admitted to NLU Bhopal, which was close to my house, due to insufficient CLAT Rank I was not able to be admitted at NLU Bhopal. Talking about the admission process at RGNUL the same is done through the CLAT counselling process where after giving the National Level entrance exam of CLAT, you are allotted various NLU's based on your rank and on the same lines RGNUL is allotted to the students nationally based on their specific rank
