The Odia department does not offer placement opportunities, unlike departments such as MBA, PMIR, and Political Science. However, students can pursue a PhD if they clear the NET or JRF exams in their subject. While the department itself lacks direct placement options, various internships are available in fields like Psychology and Journalism, with nearby colleges offering positions at organizations including OTV, Kanak News, Argut, ETV, Alankara, and MBC TV.

To encourage the study and research of the Odia language, the State government has set the admission fee at an affordable 500 rupees and the readmission fee at 1000 rupees.
