CUO MBA FAQs
Ques. Is there a separate interview or GD for CUO MBA admission beyond CUET-PG?
Ans. No. CUO MBA admissions are based solely on CUET-PG 2026 scores. There is no separate written test, group discussion, or personal interview at the university level. CUO prepares the merit list directly from CUET-PG scores. Ensure you appear for the correct CUET-PG paper for MBA.
Ques. Can I switch MBA specialisations after taking admission at CUO?
Ans. No. You are admitted to a specific specialisation based on your CUET-PG score and available seats. The general MBA and MBA Logistics and SCM run as separate programmes with separate seat matrices at CUO. Apply for your preferred specialisation at the time of application itself.
Ques. Is the CUO MBA degree valid for government jobs and PSU recruitment?
Ans. Yes. A CUO MBA from a UGC-recognised Central University is fully valid for government job applications, PSU recruitment, and state civil service examinations. Central University degrees carry strong credibility with government and public sector employers across India.
Ques. What hostel facilities are available for MBA students at CUO Koraput?
Ans. CUO has separate hostel facilities for male and female students at the Koraput campus. Hostel and mess charges are not included in the tuition fee and are payable separately. Availability depends on seat capacity and is allocated after confirming admission at CUO.
Ques. Can CUO MBA graduates pursue a PhD in Management at CUO itself?
Ans. Yes. CUO MBA graduates can apply for the PhD in Management programme at CUO after completing their degree. PhD admission at CUO is through CUET-PG or UGC-NET/JRF. Eligible scholars receive UGC fellowships. This is a common career path for CUO MBA students interested in research or a teaching career.
Ques. How does CUO MBA compare to private MBA colleges in Odisha for private sector careers?
Ans. CUO MBA has lower fees and stronger academic credibility for government roles but limited private sector campus placements compared to AICTE-approved private B-schools in Bhubaneswar or Cuttack. Students primarily targeting MNC or corporate placements should consider AICTE-approved institutes with dedicated placement cells. CUO MBA is better suited for government and development sector aspirants.
