Keeping a keen interest in learning computers though not being from a computer background I had always dreamt of working in IT Companies which influenced my decision to opt for this course. The laboratory systems help in featuring and clearing the problems through which learning becomes easy. The teaching method should opt for more application rather than theory classes. The exams are quiet modern and more implemented so that the creative level increases

From 3rd semester students become eligible for campus placements. companies like ODITEK, WIPRO, INFOSYS, TATWA tech, TECh Mahindra, etc come to college every year. Highest package of the previous batch was 1200000rs and the lowest is 300000rs. Only 40% of students got placed due to the recession otherwise the placement percent was 90%. My plan after getting the degree is to get a job in PSU.

Different type of companies comes for campus like hyscalar, odi tech, Qutos, Collabera etc. Also some of the students placed is company like cognizant . So overally campus placement are very good but it totally depends on the students how proficiently they can represent there knowledge and skill infront of the recruiter.

The curriculum of the course will give you a basic idea about how the software or IT industry works that are the basic tools. In the 1st sem you will have computer architecture that will give us idea about the working and integration of hardware components with software attributes. Operating system will tell us the working of the OS with respect to computer and basic algos. Discrete mathematics that will prepare us for yo deal with algos in future and graphs that are much needed to design or know compiler idea. Database Management System will train us to deal with data in a database. Then C programming. Like wise you have DSA in 2nd Sem that is important for job purpose and will make us known about various algorithms. Similarly HTML, CSS, JS important for frontend. Java will be introduced in 2nd sem.The syllabus is very old and is not designed to make you a pro in today's time. You need to simultaneously prepare for the market demand from other places like online or any other source.

The placement is decent in Silicon college. From last semester students are eligible for placement drive. Companies like infosys, wipro and tcs visits the campus every year. Highest 7lpa and average 4.5lpa is the package. Above 80% students got placed.
