Course Details

Pune University BBA admission 2024 will begin soon. Application forms for admission will be released online on the official website @unipune.ac.in. Pune University (SPPU) offers a BBA course to its students for three years (two semesters each year). The aspirants of the BBA course are required to secure 40% of aggregate marks in their 10+2 examination. As various affiliated colleges offer BBA courses under Pune University, few colleges adopt the selection procedure to be solely merit-based, whereas the other colleges consider the score of the Online Entrance Examination (OEE) conducted by the Pune University itself for admitting the eligible candidates.

Pune University BBA Eligibility

The aspirants of the BBA course willing to take admission in the Pune University must meet the eligibility criteria of passing the 10+2 examination with not less than 40% in Arts/ Science/ Commerce stream from a recognized state/ central board.

Pune University BBA Admission Criteria

The BBA program is offered by the affiliated colleges under Pune University and by the University itself. Thus, the selection of the candidates is done differently in different institutions (i.e.) few colleges accept merit order in the 10+2 exam, while few others accept the score in the entrance.

Online Entrance Examination (OEE)

The Pune university conducts a computer-based entrance exam, known as Online Entrance Examination (OEE). The exam duration is two hours, and there are two sections in it. Section A consists of questions from general knowledge, aptitude, logic, and comprehension and Section B consists of subject-based questions. The total marks are 100, out of which section A carries 20 marks and Section B carries 80 marks. There is negative marking in OEE, wherein 1/3 marks are deducted for every wrong answer. One mark is awarded to each right answer and no mark is deducted for questions that are not answered.

In cases, where two students obtain the same marks in OEE, the marks in section B will be given more preference while screening the candidates. If the marks of section B are also the same, then the candidates will be judged on the basis of marks secured in the qualifying examination.

The Pune University offers the full-time BBA for a period of three years.

The students take two examinations in each semester.
Students are obliged to maintain a certain percentage of attendance in their course duration.

Pune University BBA Course Details

Duration

The BBA course offered by the University is a three years full-time course. It is divided into 6 semesters (Two semesters each year).

Intake

There is a total intake capacity of 80 students in the BBA department of Pune University.

Course Work

The BBA course has 6 semesters in the three years. Two exams are conducted every semester, one is Internal Examination and the other is the end-semester examination.

Evaluation

Every student must pass the aggregate of Internal and end-semester examinations. They must score a minimum of 24/60 and a total of 40/100. The students are also given grace marks in the three subjects to the maximum and the maximum grace number given to the students is 9.

Attendance

The attendance of the students is very important. If any candidate fails to keep up to a certain percentage of attendance, he/ she will not be able to take up any exams. The students who will be absent for any exam will be given a backlog in that subject.

Bachelor of Business administration is course with 6 subjects per semesters and From 2nd year you have to choose one specializtion and from that year 4 subjects are common and 2 are special subjects. There not so much practicallity in course but ok .

I've been a commerce student since 9th grade. Choosing this course Just helped me enhance my knowledge This course helped practice and understand the real world. Through experiences shared by teachers and the information provided by the books. A well coordinated information should provided throughout the students as only a few students are informed for some activities and some aren't. The timings of the exam were decent as some were at 9am and some were post 11am. The difficulty level depends on the preparation of every individual.
