How Gondwana University calculates percentage:

Percentage = (Total marks obtained in all subjects) / (Total maximum marks in all subjects) × 100

This includes both theory and practical/internal marks for each paper. There's no SGPA/CGPA conversion involved — it's raw marks aggregated.

Pass Class: 40-49.99%

What most students miss:

GU does NOT issue a CGPA certificate — only a marks statement. This creates problems when job applications or higher education forms ask for CGPA.
For CGPA conversion when required: Use the UGC standard formula — % ÷ 9.5 = CGPA equivalent. So 65% ? 6.84 CGPA. Mention "converted as per UGC formula" explicitly.
GU can issue a Conversion Certificate if you request one from the exam section — this officially converts your marks to CGPA for external use.
For each subject, passing requires minimum 40% per paper (theory component and internal separately in some programs).
