Gondwana University uses a traditional marks-based system — not CGPA — so the percentage calculation is more direct than most modern universities.

How Gondwana University calculates percentage:

Percentage = (Total marks obtained in all subjects) / (Total maximum marks in all subjects) × 100

This includes both theory and practical/internal marks for each paper. There's no SGPA/CGPA conversion involved — it's raw marks aggregated.

Division criteria:

  • Distinction: ? 75%
  • First Class: 60-74.99%
  • Second Class: 50-59.99%
  • Pass Class: 40-49.99%
  • Fail: below 40% overall OR below 40% in any individual paper

What most students miss:

  • GU does NOT issue a CGPA certificate — only a marks statement. This creates problems when job applications or higher education forms ask for CGPA.
  • For CGPA conversion when required: Use the UGC standard formula — % ÷ 9.5 = CGPA equivalent. So 65% ? 6.84 CGPA. Mention "converted as per UGC formula" explicitly.
  • GU can issue a Conversion Certificate if you request one from the exam section — this officially converts your marks to CGPA for external use.
  • For each subject, passing requires minimum 40% per paper (theory component and internal separately in some programs).

If you need your aggregate for a government job application: Use (marks obtained / total marks) × 100 directly from your consolidated marksheet.

Gondwana University (Gadchiroli, Maharashtra) percentage calculation:

Gondwana University follows the standard percentage calculation:

Percentage = (Marks Obtained / Maximum Marks) × 100

this is straightforward — add up all your marks obtained across all papers and divide by total maximum marks, multiply by 100. there's no special CGPA/credit system formula for Gondwana University's traditional exam pattern.

for official percentage certificates, your college issues mark sheets with calculated percentage. for any special verification needed, contact Gondwana University's examination section at gondwana.edu.in or through your affiliated college's office.

Gondwana University follows a CGPA system. You can convert your CGPA into percentage by using the formula mentioned below.

Percentage (%) = (CGPA - 0.75) *10

For example, if your CGPA is 5.75, the equivalent percentage will be = (5.75 - 0.75) *10 = 50%.
