The institute has seen a 100% placement rate with 220+ recruiters participating in the placement drive. The EPGP students have enough work experience and are placed in their respective domains and the process is recruiter based mostly. They have incremental placements from their previous experiences. The PGP and IPM batches are placed together, there is an equal representation of freshers and work experience guys in the batch. There are summer placements after the PGP year 1 and Final placements after the course completion. Consulting, Finance, Sales and Matketing, Analytics and Product Management are the main areas of employment. Niche firms like BCG, Kearney, JPMC, Goldman Sachs, HUL, Amazon etc hire from the campus directly.The process is completely transparent. The average placements ranged from 25-30 LPA in the last three years for the PGP IPM batches. Highest may go upto 1 Cr CTC, lowest has gone down upto 11 LPA. All the students get placed by hook or by crook in the end. It's a 2 week long process.

It’s not entirely true that IIM Indore has a hard time getting everyone placed. Yes, it does take longer to wrap up the placement as compared to other reputed B-Schools like SP Jain, NITIE, IIMK, etc.

One of my friends recently graduated from IIM Indore and according to her, the final placements for 2020, took nearly 2 months to complete. While the other B-Schools wrapped up placements in 1 to 1.5 weeks. This delay in placement has nothing to do with the quality of education at the institute. It is due to the large batch size.

But at IIM Indore almost every student gets placed in a decent job. It doesn't guarantee you that the job or the salary will satisfy you. You will have to work even harder and polish your skills more to secure your dream job.

Most of his batchmates bagged offers from pioneer recruiters like Credit Suisse, Deloitte, Nomura, JP Morgan, HDFC, IndusInd Bank, IBM, ICRA Management Consulting, Tata Sky, UAE Exchange, etc.

It is not equivalent to an IIM MBA because the candidates do not pass the CAT exam. As a result, the industry has not yet accepted the 5-year program.

In the five years that an IPM student spends at the institute, he or she is exposed to a plethora of excellent opportunities. Apart from institutionalized opportunities like social placements (after the third year), foreign exchange (9th term), and summer placements (4th year), there is a lot that happens as a part of the Students Activity Council. There are regular competitions for IPM students that not only award cash prizes but also provide excellent opportunities to interact with new people, make contacts, and learn new things.

Yes, there indeed is a certain level of bias that IPM students face during the placement process. But the reason is well justified. Being a newly established course, IPM lacks the certainty of success. The industries are only gradually developing their trust towards this course over the years. So the recruiters are still a bit hesitant in investing in an IPM student.

But if you look at the figures, you can see that the course has been gaining trust and climbing the ladder drastically over the past few years. Also, I don’t think it’s justifiable to draw a comparison between a 7-year-old program that has already been recognized (PGP) to a newly established course (IPM).

The placement rate for the institute is 100%. During the 2019 placements, the campus received the highest CTC up to now, i.e. INR 85 LPA.

IIM Indore successfully placed all students from its PGP and IPM batch of 2024. Over 150 recruiters participated, offering a diverse range of opportunities for the graduating batch. The highest package offered stood at INR 100 LPA. The average package saw a decrease compared to the previous year, settling at INR 25.68 LPA. The maximum number of offers were offered by the Consulting cohort (25%) followed by the Finance cohort (19%). IIM Indore Summer Internship Placements 2024 reports are released. A total of 140 recruiters, with 55 new recruiters visited the campus to provide internship opportunities to the batch of 606 students. IIM Indore highest stipend stood at INR 6 lakhs and IIM Indore's average stipend stood at INR 2.74 lakhs. IIM Indore witnessed a 50% increase in the highest stipend and a 37% increase in the average stipend
