Indian Institute of Management, Indore is offering Integrated and Master's courses in management. It also offers executive management programs specially for candidates having work experience. Admission to various courses at IIM Indore is based on composite scores of national-level entrance exam scores, Written Ability Test, Academics and Personal Interview. The institute accepts CAT scores for Indian Nationals and GMAT scores for Foreign nationals as its minimum qualifying criteria for admission to its PGP courses.
After a minimum cutoff percentile in CAT entrance exam, candidates will be selected for a Personal Interview, based on CAT/GMAT Percentile/Score, Academic Performance and Diversity (Gender, Academic Specializations, Work Experience). The final merit list of the candidates will be released by IIM Indore based on Composite scores of CAT/GMAT Score, Academic Performance, Diversity, and PI performance, based on the weightage criteria set by the institute.
The institute has 40% weightage for CAT exam score, 45% weightage for PI, 10% weightage on Academics, and 5% weightage on diversity factors, in final admission to its PGP courses.

IIM Indore offers admission to its various management programs based on scores in entrance exams. The institute considers entrance exam scores as its minimum eligibility criteria for the admission process. IIM Indore offers Integrated Program in Management since 2011, for a duration of 5 years. The minimum eligibility criteria for admission to these programs is to have passed 10+2 with at least 60% marks. IIM Indore IPM Application Procedure (Indian Candidates)
Eligible candidates should submit their application online (visit www.iimidr.ac.in) and pay the online non-refundable/non-transferable application fee of Rs. 4,130 / Rs. 2,065 (for SC/ST/PwD category candidates).
Candidates belonging to NC‐OBC, SC, ST, and PwD categories need to produce valid Caste/Category certificate(s) in support of their reservation category, and candidates belonging to Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) need to produce a valid document ascertaining the eligibility of the candidate to apply under EWS category.
IIM Indore IPM Eligibility Criteria (Foreign Candidates)
International applicants (as defined above) satisfying the following criteria are eligible to apply for the Five-Year Integrated Programme in Management of IIM Indore.
• Age: Candidate should have been born on or after August 01, 2005.
• Qualifying Exam: Candidate should have passed Standard XII/HSC or equivalent examination in 2024, 2025 or appearing in 2026.
• Standard X/SSC or Equivalent: Candidate should have passed standard X/ SSC.
• Valid SAT Score: Minimum score of 1300 out of 1600 in SAT (SAT score obtained during November 1, 2024 to May 9, 2026 will only be considered as valid score)
IIM Indore IPM Application Procedure (Foreign Candidates)
a) Completed Application Form.
b) Self-Attested copy of the latest SAT scores (original to be verified at the time of admission, if selected).
c) Self-attested photocopies of standard X/ SSC and standard XII/ HSC or equivalent examinations.
d) Self-Attested photocopy of Passport (all pages).

IIM Indore PGP Admission 2026
IIM Indore offers PGP programs at the PG levels. The minimum eligibility criteria for admission to this program is to have passed graduation with at least 50% marks. The institute requires a minimum cutoff percentile of 90 percentile in CAT (Indian Candidates), or 700 score in GMAT scores (International Candidates). The final admission to the PGP program is based on the composite score of Entrance exam score, Academics, Diversity, Personal Interview, etc. During the final provisional admission process 30% weightage is given to GMAT scores and 70% weightage is given to Personal Interview for foreign candidates .
IIM Indore PGP Admission: Indian Candidates
The initial stage for admission to the PGP course at IIM Indore is registering for CAT exams. The candidates need to register for CAT 2025, by filling out the required details and paying an application fee of INR 2600 for general category candidates.
Candidates applying for CAT 2025 should fulfill any one of the following conditions:
● Completed should have completed Bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks.
● Completed professional degree (CA/CS/ICWA (CMA)/Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of India (FIAI))..
● Should be in the final year of Bachelor’s degree with required percentage.
Note: Any candidate who is interested in applying for PGP of IIM Indore needs to exercise his/her option to apply while registering for CAT 2025. No change in the category will be entertained after the closure of the CAT registration window.
IIM Indore PGP Selection Criteria
The candidates are selected based on composite scores of CAT Scores, Academic Scores, Diversity Factors, and Personal Interview. IIM Indore PGP Admission: Foreign Candidates
Foreign passport holders only will be considered as ‘International Applicants’ for admission to the Post Graduate Programme in Management of IIM Indore in 2025-27 batch.
IIM Indore PGP Eligibility Criteria (Foreign Nationals)
The candidate must have a valid Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) score with minimum overall score of 700.
Candidates should fulfill any one of the following conditions:
• Completed Bachelor’s degree with the required percentage of marks*.
• Completed professional degree (CA/CS/ICWA/Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of India (FIAI)) with required percentage*.
• Should be in the final year of a Bachelor’s degree with required percentage*.
* Candidates should have a minimum 50% marks or equivalent CGPA.

IIM Indore Selection Process (Foreign Nationals)

IIM Indore EPGP Admission 2026
IIM Indore offers an Executive PGP program especially for candidates having work experience with a duration of 1 year. The program is spread over five academic terms at IIM Indore campus and one International Immersion module at one of the top-ranking international universities. Admission to these programs is based on scores in entrance exams such as CAT/GMAT/GRE, followed by Personal Interview.
IIM Indore EPGP Eligibility Criteria
The candidates must have-
Educational Qualification:
- 50% in Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent in any discipline.
OR
- 50% in Master’s Degree or its equivalent in any discipline.
OR
- 50% in Five-year Integrated Programme/other programmes of similar duration.
A valid GMAT/GRE/CAT score-
- The GMAT and GRE score should be within 5 years from the application deadline date. Hence the GMAT/GRE test date should be between November 17, 2020 to November 16, 2025 (for Phase 1) and January 16, 2021 to January 15, 2026 (for Phase 2), and the CAT score should be within 2 years from the application deadline. Hence a CAT 2024/2025 score will be considered.
- Minimum 5 years of managerial/ entrepreneurial/ professional experience after graduation as of the application deadline date i.e. November 16, 2025 (for Phase 1) and January 15, 2026 (for Phase 2).
Note:
- Mention only full-time paid work experience after obtaining a Bachelor’s degree.
- Do not include training/project work done as an integral part of any curricular requirement.
IIM Indore EPGP Application Process
Candidates seeking admission to the Executive Post Graduate Programme in Management of IIM Indore should submit their online application form during September 18, 2025 to January 15, 2026, and pay the online non-refundable/ non-transferable Application processing fee of Rs. 5,900 (including GST) for Indian nationals and US$118 (including GST) for Foreign nationals. Interviews of shortlisted candidates will be conducted offline/online through the Zoom application, depending on the situation.
IIM Indore EPGP Selection Process
Short-listing candidates for the interview will be done based on GMAT/GRE/CAT score and/or any other criteria as decided by the Admissions Committee for that academic year. Shortlisted candidates shall appear for the Personal Interview (PI).

IIM Indore Ph.D Admission 2026
IIM Indore offers Doctoral Program in management in 9 different specializations of management. For its Doctoral Programme in Management (DPM) IIM Indore seeks high-quality candidates with a strong academic background, preferably with professional experience.
IIM Indore Ph.D Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must have:
- Master’s degree in any discipline with at least 60 percent aggregate marks or equivalent grade point average.

- Postgraduate Diploma (2 years) with at least 60 percent aggregate marks or equivalent grade point average.

- Professional qualifications CA, ICWA, CS with at least 50 percent aggregate marks.

Online GMAT/GRE (Take home) exam scores are not valid. Only test centre-based GMAT/GRE scores are valid. Exemptions from the above tests would be given to candidates who have an MBA or equivalent from any of the IIMs.
IIM Indore Ph.D Selection Criteria
The candidates will be shortlisted (on the recommendation of the respective areas) on the based information provided in the application form. The selection process is as follows:
Stage 1: The candidates satisfying the academic eligibility criteria as mentioned above should submit their application online.
Stage 2: Based on the applications received, candidates satisfying Academic eligibility criteria and acceptable standard test the shortlisting will be done and candidates will be called for Personal Interview (PI), to be conducted at IIM Indore during March / April
Stage 3: Candidates not meeting the minimum performance in any of PI parameters will not be considered for the next stage of the selection process i.e. Stage-4.
Stage 4: Final selection will be based on the requirements of the academic area to which the candidate has applied and an area-wise offer list will be prepared.

The institute accepts national level entrance examination as its initial steps for shortlisting its candidates to next stages of admission process to various courses. Candidates needs to follow the following steps in order to be considered for admission at IIM Indore-

For example, my friend got the topic- “Advertising: Noise Attracts Attention”. As soon as the floor was open for discussion, he made a loud thud with his foot. This attracted everyone’s attention towards him. In response, he just said- “Hence proved, noise attracts attention.” He cleared the round because of his out of the box response.
The personal interview is mainly a test of your confidence. Read general knowledge material and prepare at least one subject of your interest in depth. You’ll be asked questions on them. If you do not know a certain answer, be honest about it. You can add humor to the conversions, but do not use inappropriate jokes. You must across as a sensible gentleman.

Integrated Programme in Management (IPM) is a program aimed at students who have passed out of class XII/Higher Secondary or equivalent from schools across India.
IPM is a 5-year program launched in 2011 by IIM Indore. The program has been accredited by the Association of MBAs, London.
The program's agenda is targeting the youth that has managerial and leadership skills and transforming them into world-class leaders through top-notch education. It has been specially designed for young individuals who want to pursue Management right after 12.
Selection Process
The selection process of getting admitted into IIM Indore for IPM comprises 3 steps
- You will have to fill out an application form that entails your academic and extracurricular achievements.
- After this you have to write an entrance exam that aims at analyzing your aptitude, logical reasoning, and proficiency in English and Mathematics.
- Lastly, after shortlisting you go through a personal interview with well–qualified professors from IIM Indore and other prestigious institutions. The panel will judge your confidence, communication skills, general awareness, persuasion skills, and knowledge.
Only 120 seats are available for this program at IIM Indore. The entire program is broadly divided into the first 3 years and the last 2 years.
The Programme consists of 15 terms spread over a period of 5 years, with each year having 3 terms of 3 months. The subjects of the initial 3 years focus on the foundation and the last 2 years have core subjects that focus on Management.
How does IIM Indore calculate a composite score?
IIM Indore conducts a national level Aptitude Test called IPMAT. The exam duration is 2 hours with 100 total questions.
Quantitative Ability: 60 questions (75 minutes)
Verbal Ability: 40 questions (45 minutes)
Composite score is calculated as follows
QA= 65 * ( candidate’s score - Min Score)/ Max score - min score
VA = 35 * ( candidate’s score - Min Score)/ Max score - min score
Final score = QA score + VA score
If you are shortlisted, you will be called in for the WAT and PI round. The weightage for the complete composite score is as follows
- Aptitude test = 50% weightage
- Personal Interview (PI) = 35%
- Written ability test (WAT) = 15%
Your composite score is informed only if you are not shortlisted. Otherwise, you won’t get to know your score.

Is there any provision for lateral admission in IIM Indore IPM?
No, there is no provision for lateral admission in IIM Indore IPM. The institute you are currently studying in, the course that you are pursuing, and your scores, even if they are high; does not make any difference.
This is because IIM A, B, C, L, and I, all have their own methodology of teaching. All the other remaining IIMs are also on their way to become unique in their approach.
Apart from the Ph.D. program, the transfer of students is not encouraged. They do not want to put their teaching methodology and students’ career at risk.
However, if you want to get into the program, you can retake the entrance examination. You might then get a call for further rounds of GD and PI if you clear the pre-requisite requirements for age.

The curriculum has been updated to remove the courses that were of little importance and focus more on core subjects like Maths, Statistics, and Economics. With Poor Academics, it is difficult to get admission to IIM Indore but not impossible. You need to secure very high score in CAT examination followed by group discussion and personal interview for securing a seat.
The Integrated Program in Management Aptitude Test competition is high; more than fifteen thousand students attend the entrance exam yearly. IIM Indore admission is based on competitive exams like CAT/ GMAT/ IPMAT followed by a Personal Interview. At IIM Indore, for batch 2024-26, a total of 169765 general category candidates selected IIM Indore PGP & PGP-HRM as their CAT preference, of which 5109 PGP and 2841 PGP-HRM were shortlisted for PI WAT round.
