Overview of Kufos

Likes

Campus infrastructure and facilities. Including Parking space
variety of structures related to each course in while campus.

Dislikes

some cctv not working and sanitation not upto the mark.

Internships Opportunities:

Actually internships are given in various scientific institutions in India likes Npol, nio, nit, etc. Currently different projects are going on under various faculties. Research activites also made available for phd students.

Welcome to our variety lifestyle

Likes

Teaching methods, lab classes, field visit,farm visit etc..
Homely feel, food is not bad, teachers good
Friends are free minded, open college, sports

Dislikes

Faculties sometimes behaviours, and college have no canteen
No store, no canteen, no good library etc.
Sports room is not good , punchucalty noo

Internships Opportunities:

Yes interships are out side the college Provide field visit, field trips, farm visit,.etc.. Project works, seminar in all semester, Project work are heavy majority are field works and senses type , collection of specimens including.

The campus life is good in our college as two parties have taken place .
The faculties are well educated and have good knowledge.
We can have a good social life in our college.

Dislikes

The faculties are always busy with some works .
The Infrastructure is not so good as compared to other colleges.
Some faculties are not so friendly in nature

One year intership program will be there as part of our course. The money for the internship programs will be given by the college authorities. And we will be getting 9000 per internship. We will get good experience through Internship programs.

Why should you join kufos.

Likes

There are less students compared to other colleges there fore more connection. We know almost everyone in the college.
The lab facilities are outstanding. The practical classes are good.
The college atmosphere and the faculties are good and we get a calm environment to study. The library facilities are also good.

Dislikes

The scholarships are not given in time. There is a bit lagging.
There is no hostel facility for first year girls.

Internships Opportunities:

There are so many hatcheries and fish farms that offer internship to students. Various fish processing factories also give internship to students. Through this internship a good amount is provided as stipend. Every student doing this course should do the internship.

There are so many hatcheries and fish farms that offer internships to students, Every student must do an internship. Fish processing factories also give internships to students. Have a good amount of stipend awarded to students. Roles offered in internship are mainly hatchery management farm management, quality analysis, etc.

Not much internship opportunities.During the final year there is a RAWE program that is compulsory for each student inorder to complete the course. This is the only program given by the college. And has bussiness incubation center for young innovators.

Likes

It is a nice college as it gives good amount of opportunites to learn and execute. Students who are willing to achieve something would find the place nice.
Campus life here is good. Students union, NSS unit, NCC unit, etc are there. Its not a very huge campus in size, but has got the facilities needed for the course. There are good enough events happening by the various students groups and college also.
Infrastructure is very fresh and good. Campus size is not very huge but has got the required facilities properly. The aquatic referral lab has been started recently which is a first of its kind in our country.

Internships Opportunities:

Internship happens in the form of RFWE. In that, students have to work in farms, institutes, hatcheries, etc in BFSc. For Btech and Masters students, there are companies in Kochi who accept them easily. Projects are there. Another program called Experiential Learning Program is is there for practical understanding of business.

Opportunities in Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies.

Likes

The interaction between students and teachers are very friendly.
The guidance by the seniors are quite helpful for the studies.
Training and workshops conducted are useful for building skills for career.

Dislikes

The facility for hostel is limited to a small number.
Field exposure to the concerned subject can be improved

Kochi is a hub for fisheries institutes, our campus has collaborated with various fisheries institutes and organizations for intern research collaborations and various projects to promote the participation of the students.

Inside KUFOS: a student's perspective.

The campus, KUFOS have a beautiful campus and is very peaceful
The faculties, all teachers are highly professional and are experts in their field
The facilities and labs, Kufos have well equipped laboratories with sophisticated equipments

Dislikes

It doesn't have a cafeteria or cafe inside the campus

Internships Opportunities:

Interships can be done during the final year as a part of our RFWE program or can be done during the course period. BFSc students mainly do their internships in 2 domins ie Aquaculture and fish processing. RFWE is partially funded by ICAR and state government. We can do paid internship as well as unpaid internships. We can do unpaid internships at Centra institutes like CMFRI, NIPHATT etc...

LIFE AT KUFOS as a Fisheries Graduate

About the college life. I got a lot of memories their.like friends accademic memmoirs etc
It has a huge campus that gives a in-depth practical knowledge
The faculties are fisheries graduates hence they know what the students want

Dislikes

I don't usually get to go home since there is no long leaves
Location of it is in city so no village experience
I wanted to goto internship but i couldn't

Processing companies and culture plants are offering internships. Project managers in companies assistants, project managers, and inspectors in production lines are the roles offered in internship opportunities. We can also go on an internship in private hatcheries and cultural ponds.
