Kerala University offers admission to UG, PG, and Research levels at its various teaching departments and affiliated colleges. Admission to the UG courses is conducted through Centralized Allotment Process (CAP) based on the marks secured in the qualifying examination. Kerala University accepts KEAM scores for admission to the BTech, BPA, BFA, and BPEd courses. B.Arch admission will be done through the NATA entrance examination.
Admission to PG courses is based on entrance examinations conducted by Kerala University. The university also accepts scores of national and state-level entrance exams such as GATE and CMAT/KMAT/KUCAT for admission to M.Tech and MBA programs. Admissions to the Ph.D. courses are offered on the basis of the entrance examination and personal interview conducted by the university.

- Login using the application number and password.
- Provide accurate, relevant details in the online application form.
- Upload scanned copies of required documents in the format specified.
- Pay Application Fee.
- Submit and Print a copy of the application for your convenience.
- For courses requiring entrance exams or merit-based selection, await the results announcement.
- If allotted a seat, confirm seat acceptance and pay the acceptance fee.

Ques. How do I make any payment to Kerala University?
Ans. Students can make a payment to Kerala University by the following means:
- Chalan at the University Cash Counter or FRIENDS Counters.
- Crossed Demand Draft in favour of Finance Officer, University of Kerala (Only SBI draft payable at SBI Service Branch, Thiruvananthapuram) or District Co-operative Bank DD payable at Head Office branch of State Co-op Bank, Thiruvananthapuram will be accepted. Students from other States can send Demand Draft payable at SBI Main branch, Thiruvananthapuram. However, applicants from outside the country may send DD from any scheduled bank.
- Please add
10/- as service charge while sending Demand Draft ( For example if the fee is
50/-, you have to draw a DD of

- Please write your name and the purpose for which the DD is drawn, on the reverse side of the Draft. This is applicable when you buy an application form also.

Ans. Yes, Kerala University provides admission to NRI students. Students need to visit the online admission portal of the university to apply for any course at the university. Students need to have a Visa issued specifically to study at Kerala University. Not only admission the university provides freeship too.
Ques. How can a student download the KU CAT admit card for admission to Kerala University?
Ans. Students can download the admit card of KU CAT from the official website. After opening the homepage there will be a link of 'Download the Hall Ticket', students must click on that link. After clicking on that link the page will be redirected and will open a new window where students need to enter their registration number & DOB. Click on that submit tab and students can download the admit card for the future references.
Ques. What is the cost of the Ph.D. entrance application fee at Kerala University?
Ans. The application fee for the Ph.D. program at Kerala University is INR 25 and the entrance examination fee is INR 1050 (INR 1075) for general candidates. For candidates belonging to SC and ST, the fee for the test is INR 550 and the service charge is INR 10 if sent through DD.

I only applied like 10 colleges and only got 2 colleges. I don't remember all the college i applied for. I only remember Mavelikara IHRD college which i got admission. All other college rejected me. I chose this college because of its strong academic reputation, good faculty and affordability compared to many private colleges. I had applied for a few colleges,but this one stood out because of its disciplined academic structure.

This college is the best government college in Kerala. It has been consistently first in KIRF ranking. It has very cheap fees. The campus is very beautiful and spacious (about 200 acres). My best choice of colleges very IITs and NITs like most people. I couldn't crack JEE. I only applied to this college because I had very high ranking in KEAM exam and was confident of acceptance. KEAM exam is a lot easier to crack than JEE. It has basic higher secondary school syllabus. To get my course you would have to be around 700th rank. To get other courses in my college you can have rank as low as 20k.

The other colleges that I apply was University College Trivandrum and SN College Kollam.I choose NSS College Nilamel because of the transportation facilities. I can easily go to this college because I only want to go through one bus to reach the college. The education facilities also good in this college. I don't get any rejection from the other colleges that I applied for my degree. Those colleges are situated from somay distance from my hometown.The eligibility for joining for my college is 50% in +2 examination.

Yes, you can apply for admission to Kerala University M.Tech. as a sponsored candidate. However, GATE candidates are given preference first in admission to M.Tech.
