University of Mysore Course Admission 2025: Dates, Fees, Eligibility, Application Process, Selection Criteria

Ans. To be eligible for admission to the NEP program at Mysore University, the applicant should have qualified 10+2 in relevant subjects.

Ans. Online courses at Mysore University have been granted approval from the University Grants Commission- Distance Education Bureau (UGC-DEB) All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), and the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). Hence, the degree received on completion of the online program will be Valid.

Ans. You will have to visit the University along with all the required documents and reach out to the registrar for further queries for offline admission to Mysore University.

Ans. A monthly stipend of 25,000/- + HRA Per month for 3 years and Rs. 30.000 + HRA Per month after 3 years is offered to a PhD scholar at Mysore University. The fellowship can be for 2 years initially and shall be extended if required.

Ans. The University does not offer direct admission to all the courses. However, Direct admission based on academic merits is offered in certain programs at Mysore University.

Ans. The minimum eligibility criteria for admission to PG courses at Mysore University is a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University. 

Ans. The State and Central Governments have been awarding a number of scholarships to meritorious and deserving students. Subject scholarships, Endowment scholarships, Sports Scholarships, Minority Scholarships, and Single Girl Child Scholarships are also available. In addition, special scholarships for children of political sufferers, defense personnel, and the physically challenged are available. Students belonging to economically weaker sections of the society have the benefit of free studentship.

Ans. As per instructions from the Government, all financial benefits to eligible students like reimbursement of examination/tuition fees, scholarships, etc., shall be transferred directly through the bank, linked to the AADHAR number. Students shall open a bank account and link this to their AADHAR number for availing of such benefits. Details have to be provided in the Application form. Those who do not have AADHAR Number/Bank account are encouraged to get AADHAR Number and link it to their bank account.

Ans. The admissions for PG programs are conducted through an entrance exam conducted by the university itself. Candidates are required to apply and appear for entrance examinations separately for each course. However, foreign applicants are exempted from this entrance test.

Ans. Admission to the program requires a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering/ Architecture/ Physical Planning / AMIE Grade-IA/Master's Degree in Geography/ Economics/ Sociology/ Sponsored/ deputed. Candidates from Government/ Semi-Government / Quasi-Government/ College/ Department teachers sponsored by Engineering Colleges with any one of the above said qualifications with a minimum of 2 years of working experience are also eligible for admission under the quota reserved for them.
